There needs to be stiffer penalities! Floridly delusional people rarely respond to treatment; medication or otherwise. What about the victim's right to peace of mind?...not to mention the other co-workers that were forced to testify, her family, his neighbors, etc.

Finally the crazy is going away but when he gets out she will always have to watch for him. Her right to a peaceful life will again be stripped from her. Too bad the judge can't ban him from the state completely. She will forever be a victim to this lunitic!

Nut job?

What are the plans for getting Richart any help while incarcerated? He has to “complete a psychological program while on supervised probation” but nothing while locked up??? So no intense therapy while in a controlled setting, nice!

Nope instead we turn Richart loose without any treatment and plan him treatment or a trap on the outside. After all it is much better to lock him up then get him well. Then when Richart reoffends so quickly we can blame Richart rather than the system because surely by the time he reoffends he has already attended at least one of his mandatory therapy sessions on the outside, sweet. Now the perp becomes the victim but because we have become a psychopathic society most will not be able to grasp the concept because they have been desensitized and have little conscience or moral compass remaining to guide them. Many people think a criminal is an animal and an animal could never be a victim no matter how poorly treated or abused. Very sad and we have the boobtube thank for that one!

As a society we love to see misery rather than success, better to look down our noses at the failure of others calling them names like "nut job" then seeing them over come mental illness and heal. Here is a better idea instead of "nut job" let’s look for the devil's mark and burn them at the stake, surely it is a demon possession and not a mental illness! For goodness sakes, what year is it in Alamowheelcity?

Intelligent enough to become an engineer. Also, makes a lot of money too. He should have known to get help and pay for his own counseling. LOTS OF PEOPLE DO IT ON THEIR OWN.

He is a nut job.

This maybe be wrong to say but maybe the boys is prison will take care of the situation for society and the victim, and then she will no longer have to worry about him for the rest of her life.
