They were probably returned to sender as undeliverable as addressed, or the dog ate it. However you look at it. It had to do with the address. Besides Texas doesn't need any money, everything here is bigger and better anyway isn't it.

The reason that the return of census forms is so low is the same reason that there are only 1/4 the people eligible to vote actually registered to vote in Newton County Texas. And the answer is fear of the local governmental representatives taking action against them for doing something that they do not like. The second reason is the Census forms are using these damn 911 assigned addresses and no one here really recognizes these addresses, and you could say they outright hate them. This is a small rural community and everyone knows everyone elses business. But the biggest contributing factor to this problem is that a small number of people control the money and what can and can not be done here. The economy here will not grow because it is not allowed to grow out of the control of these people. And the only time you see temporary growth is when an unknown person comes in and lays down a lot of cash before they can position themselves to take control of his actions through whatever means possible including vulnerable family members. They can deny it all that they like but the evidence is there to support my opinion.

An addressing Error has occured and it is a permanent Error. We are so sorry for the inconvenience that this may cause. But the Error is strictly a result of the 911 addressing system. Please consult your duly elected officials about your problem. They may answer any questions that you may have for the address that you are trying to reach.

We didn't even get forms in the mail in our neighborhood. A census taker came around. My husband TOLD him we didn't get a form but he didn't bother coming to our house. I had to call several times before they bothered to come count us.

We are inundated today by people who are trying to answer questions about us for us. For instance, in Newton County Texas, the local sheriff will watch you closely if you criticize the local government. He has openly told several people that it is ok for the police to lie to someone in order to make a case. And he is just one example of local government authority doing this to our citizens. The local post master tries to keep up with your every move too. And by all rights could be considered a stalker. And the County Judge has a very poor grasp of the English language which makes him make very bad interpretations of the law. And generally it is the opinion of many residents that he is nothing but a lacky of DETCOG, since so many of his decisions seem to come from their lead. And as for our commissioners about the only thing that they are competent to do is fix the roads and a majority of that is being done by other personel. And our Central Appraisal district is in complete control of our chief appraiser, who literally runs the tax accessors office, and directly controls the APR Board and every other aspect of tax collections on property, and will attack any property owner at a whim, because appraisals are only based on opinions of values and not on actual values. She is regarded as a real crook, but no one seems to know how to get her replaced. These opinions are based on opinions of others and not on any factual information on any record since most records would be expunged of any such dribble and are in the control of these people. Anyway, the reason Newton County Texas is one of the poorest counties in Texas is because the people in charge have done everything in their power to make it that way. The people have to be willing to invest in something that they can trust and the officials in Newton County Texas have shown the citizens that they can not be trusted, and the state has done nothing to help people believe that things will change. And even our elections seem to be fixed here from the view of the citizens, for example after we have voted and everyone compares notes and looks at the results. There seems to be something wrong with the tallys. One young man who came back from college pointed out that by giving a numbered ballot in a sequence of numbers would allow the officials to see exactly how someone voted and it got changed, but this system had been going on for years, and the young man actually left shortly after this. There are a lot of ways that the county is making problems for our citizens, and when I say county I mean certain key public officials who control the others by whatever means that they are controling them. But if you lived here and watched you would come to the conclusion that this is happening like the rest of us. I know that I will not change my home too much for fear that I will be attacked by the appraisal people and I cannot afford to put up a razorwire fence to keep people from prying into my business. So, I simply have stopped doing business in my county.
