SATSUMA, FL -- Investigators and volunteers are getting ready to comb every square inch around the home of Haleigh Cummings, the five-year-old girl who has not been seen since Monday evening.
Law enforcement officers from more than two dozen agencies have gathered at the command center in the small town of Satsuma to lead the search efforts. 80-90 corrections officers are there to help. For the first time residents will be able to join in the ground search. Texas EquuSearch is coordinating the volunteer effort. People have already started to arrive in front of the neighborhood where Haleigh's family lives. Tim Miller, Founder/Director of the search group, told reporters Friday he has 30 - 40 people from his group in Satsuma. He is expecting a lot of Putnam County residents to show up. Volunteers have already massed with ATVs. One person brought a mule to ride through the thick brush. Miller said he is optimistic. He said the determination is right and the hearts are right. He hopes he has a little luck. Miller told First Coast News volunteers will have their eyes on a specific area. He wouldn't say where that is because he doesn't want to jeopardize the investigation, but investigators have been very busy in the woods within yards of Haleigh's home. Miller says volunteers will know where to go just before they head out. Miller says the overall search will focus on a five mile radius around Haleigh's home. Volunteers should wear long pants, a long-sleeved shirt and good walking shoes. You have to be at least 18 to take part in the ground search. Pets are not allowed. It is also not a bad idea to bring a sack lunch, insect repellant and sun screen. http://www.firstcoastnews.com/news/local/news... There are some photos here of command center |

TY Doodles. Last night the report was over 20 cadaver dogs being brought in. Since the search is concentrated in a five mile radius and TM believes he knows where to search - and the dog hitting at the water's edge - wondering if they have some information not revealed.
In looking at the shots of the water, wonder if it is possible to walk across while carrying a child. |

Re: Caylee Marie Anthony, 2, Missing 6/16/08 Orlando FL (Remains Found)#106 « Reply #31 on: February 12, 2009, 08:23:59 PM » ---------- Quote from: Steel Monkey on February 12, 2009, 08:13:27 PM Quote from: Dolce on February 12, 2009, 08:08:29 PM Ok, after nearly an hour on the phone I finally was heard by a very rude woman at Rev. Jackson's foundation office. She gave me a contact to pass information on to, from what I am told its more like a filtration sort of system. I am going to contact them tomorrow during regular business hours.......here is to hoping! Forgive me Dolce for being woefully behind, but what are you up to with the Jackson clan? Well you see Steele, George and KFN were at the aid of Hayleigh Cummings family in a matter of hours after discovering the poor child missing. Within the same distance, just south of Orlando a young child by the name of Adji Desir vanished nearly a month ago. Adji's family are not at all wealthy, they are of Hatian decent, and did I mention that Adji is mentally disabled? Even after National attention has been given to this poor child not so much as a phone call from KFN or an Anthony. I am outraged! KFN collects donations under the false pretense that they are to help ALL children, to me it looks as if they only help the children who are going to bring them the most funds in return, and if you really want to get technical, as I did, I am playing the race card. I have notified Kathi Belich, the main reporter in Orlando on the Caylee case, and have been working most of the evening to get in touch with someone in the Jackson camp. I am not a happy camper about this. EVERY CHILD derserves to be found! |

20 dogs is wonderful. I think LE and Tim have some ideas. Notable that they still have not released results of polygraph on girlfriend. Those results may have them thinging. There was a report that a dog hit on the end of the dock. No photos of that dock. I think alot of search may be concentrated downstream of home at riverbanks. JMO.

Mixed reports on the 17 year old and the polygraph. The female reporter from AMW stated the Sheriff told her he was satisfied with the results. The 17 year old reports she passed the test. However, reports continue to conflict. Since LE is continuing to say "abduction", am guessing they believe someone propped the screen door open with the cinder block for a fast escape once he had grabbed the little child. And entirely too many (known) sex offenders located in such a small area. Also rumored drug connections to the father of the child. jmo and squirreling:) |

SATSUMA - UPDATE: 11:15 a.m. Putnam County Sheriff Jeff Hardy just wrapped up a news briefing about the search for missing 5-year-old Haleigh Cummings. "Listen, we have actively investigated and pursued over 350 leads that have come in to date. So we are not just going to limit this search to Putnam County. We'll go where ever it takes us." He would not address media reports about inconsistencies in statements given by the 17-year-old girlfriend who reported Haleigh missing. She told investigators she was sleeping in the same bed as Haleigh and her 3-year-old brother before Haleigh was discovered missing. But Misty Croslin told reporters Thursday she was sleeping in her own bed before discovering Haleigh was gone. Hardy also said searchers are expanding the area of the search, but he would give details. About 50 law enforcement officers, 100 volunteers and 20 agents with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement are in Putnam County and helping with the investigation and search. cont. |
