You go to a concert in New York, lose a person, go home to Pennsylvania and then report him missing. Does this sound strange to anyone? Also, why are sheriff's from Ontario County investigating a person gone missing in Genesee County? Also, strange.

Maybe Tony Keith had something to do with it..... must've been one hell of a post concert tailgate party - beer, moonshine, killer dope, meth.

I wonder if these "friends" learned from Brittany Drexel's friends about pretending nothing happened and just go home.
Or the 2 kids who were with Chris Cervini when they were stealing from cars, Rod Scott shot a perp skell, and the 2 accomplices ran home and went to bed like nothing happened, didnt even bother to tell an adult that Cervini got caught boosting and was shot- now THAT's true friendship and being a blood relative. They tried to text and call him, but got no responce and slept off their night of drinking and doing drugs.

All 3 incidents prove they'd NEVER make good military personel... LEAVE NO MAN BEHIND

This Makes the 2nd Pennslyvania person to die visiting WNY in last couple of days, a Philly city kid died in car wreck at 4am in Henrietta

Yeah! The very first thing I would do if I couldn't find one of the people I came to a concert with is LEAVE, go home, call their mommy and say, "oops, I ditched your kid at Darien Lake. Your problem now!" What the heck?? More and more people today just don't care about even their friends! What a sad thing!---- are you seriouse you dont even know what happend how can you even say anything about this.

his friends didn't ditch him, he took off wouldn't answer his phone. they contacted police right away they said they couldn't do anything for 24 hours. his friends waited all night went home contacted roomate to see if he came home got his mother and went back up to look for him. they didnt ditch him or leave them there.. people shouldnt make a comment when you dont even know what happend!!!! this is very devastating to alot of people, you should think about that first.

I have gone to alot of concerts at Darien and this year bought the megaticket and after Kenny Chesney decided it wasn't worth the trouble. Their so called security won't do anything but stand and look important. I wanted to bring my granddaughter but after the last one with girls going to the bathroom in the parking lot, drinking, swearing dope and the park smelling from people throwing up I won't go back. I suggest everyone emails livenation and complain. If they finally figure out why tickets aren't selling maybe so changes can be made.

We went to the crue fest concert due to the fact that we won 2 free lawn seat tickets, I chose to buy a ticket for my daughter. After what I smelled and saw in the lawn seats I will never get lawn seats again. You are right all the security was worried about was themselves. upon trying to enjoy the concert we dealt with people pushing, hitting and more than rude. We smelt pot wish made us all sick, girls were peeing right in front of everyone talk about gross. There were a few nice people in the lawn but the majority of them were stoned or drunk and puking. Darien lake needs to get rid of the general admission lawn area and get seats back there instead. Totally disappointed by the small area they had for all those people. Now the seat area last years crue concert was ok but we paid over 400 for 5 seats and half the concert couldnt see cause people were too tall or standing on their seats. I would rather go see a concert at the state fair at least there everyones got a good seat

Now days, it seems that a friend is no longer an actual person. It is only a thing that exists on Facebook, twitter, something to send IMs or emails to, etc. Too bad that this guy wasn't the driver, then his friends would not have been able to leave without him.

To Sallie Jesse; this is a pond that is actually between parking lots on the property.

I was pointing out the bad writing of the story.
The title said "at" and in the story it said "near".

First of all, no one should be shocked that people were smoking pot....it's a freakin Motley Crue concert. I think you're a bit naive to think it was going to be like hanging out with Wally and the Beaver. Sorry, but it seems like almost ANYONE could have guessed that was going to happen.

As for people peeing right out in the open, this is because Darien Lake is one of the most poorly designed concert venues I've ever been to. They don't have anywhere near the proper number of bathrooms for the number of seats they sell. Same thing for the beer stands. Not enough vendors there. You miss a full 4 songs waiting in line for one ($8 for a small plastic cup) beer! Then they quit selling beer 1/2 way through the concert...which might explain why so many people hang out in the parking lot beforehand getting totally anihilated. I actually think the 'stop selling beer 1/2 way through' thing makes it worse, especially when you miss more than 1/2 the concert you paid so much money to attend! To compound the problem, the beer and bathroom lines get so long they actually start to criss-cross and entagle each other...which probably wouldn't be so bad if the people entering the front gate didn't also have to pass through the middle of them because the hack who designed it put the main enterance so close to them. WHICH, might explain why people seem pushy and rude...they've HAD to be just to get in the gate, get a beer, and then go to the bathroom. I've been to concerts all over, and Darien Lake is, without question, the worst.

As for security, There's no way the could kick out people for things like being rude, or smoking pot. They're too busy dealing with overly drunk people breaking stuff, drug dealers, underage drinkers, and fights. Then they have to kick out these drunks who just spent a months pay to go, and don't really want to let some wanna-be (but couldn't cut it) cop tell them to leave.

Actually, one of the best concert venues I've been to is the Star Lake ampitheater in Pittsburgh,PA. Plenty of bathrooms, beer stands, and the security is actually NICE to people, which makes people respect them more. I've been to a few concerts there, and it's completely opposite of DL. Sorry for the rant, but I've seen how adequate bathrooms, beerstands, and respectful security officers can really make a difference.

Well said! I am from the other side of Rochester and go to MANY concerts. Cleveland, Buffalo, Syracuse, Saratogo, Scranton PA and even NJ. DL is one of the worst venues. Besides, it can take until 1:30am just to get out of that parking lot.

No good friend leaves without the entire group they showed up with. They should have made the phone calls before they left and called the police then and not when they drove home. Thank god I have friends who not leave without me.

Also it is a concert, a place you go to have fun. Which means you drink and stand up and dance to have fun. Not drink pepsi and sit on a chair or lawn. You get a DD or chip in and get limo and make a meeting spot & time in case you get lost.
