See I told you that they would come out and say they had something wrong. Again the media taking advantage of everyones pocketbook and mind to get them to get this wasteless vaccine. 4,000 people have died from this swine flu this year. 36,000 die from the regular flu every year! You do the math!

It didn't cost me a dime to get my H1N1 vaccine and the flu clinics that are being held are free. So how is this emptying pocketbooks?

You came out with the relationship,We still need to know the ages. We now know they were related, which tells us this is very contagious, but we need to know if they were elderly because we are at the bottom of the list for getting the vaccine if and when they have enough. This info would, in no way, invade their privacy.

This is exactly why people do not trust the information they receive from the media. Initially it was reported that these people had no underlying health problems, now you are reporting that they in fact do. How irresponsible of the hospital and the media for not holding them accountable. The information is the same nationally. One day safe and one day not. One day vaccine is ready and next day not. I wonder why people do not trust their information?

this information would have saved a lot of people some anxiety had they been upfront and told us this yesterday!!!! Not blaming the media, but the agency that did not want to release any additional information, think of us next time!!!

After doing research I have concluded that one was a mother in her 70's or 80's and the other was her daughter who was in her 40's. I am pretty sure those were the ages that I read.

Unless, of course he is into necrophilia?

Then, he might be able to get near them?

Just saying ...

Makes no sense not to release the age, sex, relation, and what other medical condition they had.
It's NOT like me want there name, address, and SSN.

The family has no say in releasing that information.
We should know facts of the situation, not personal information.
Age, sex, relation, and other medical conditions of 2 undisclosed people is NOT private.

Lucky you, because you can't because, again, they are dead.... not walking around..... they won't be anywhere you are.

Nothing is free, I imagine we are all paying for it in some way or another

Whether the family wanted nonidentifying information released or not should be of no consequence. If the fact that these women died from H1N1 is published, then so should non-identifying information. IE: What the underlying issues were. I am not getting the vaccination because I don't believe it will help/hinder anything to do with the flu. The underlying issues were probably 'the main reason' that these ladies both died. The flu just helped those reasons along. If the govt and media are going to announce every local death, then there should be full disclosure regarding health status relating to those deaths other than H1N1. Insurance companies must love us, because, if you fall, but had other issues and died, then for statistics purposes, the reason for death is generally not the fall causing the other issues to go bad, but the 'public' statistics that are added by physicians on the death certificates. I know for a fact it saves insurance companies lots of bucks because I had a family member die that I should have received AD&D insurance for and because of 'statistics' and the way the death was noted, I was disallowed! This is poor reporting by the health department and the govt together just for the sake of statistics purposes.

Does anyone really know just how much FLu is really around here? Go to your local grocery or gas station. Chances are, someone with flu has been or is there. It now is everywhere. So why is everyone so concerned to know how old or what gender these poor people were? It really does not matter at this point. Flu is here-schools are covered with it-store door handles, shopping carts and the like-from what I hear it is an air born contagion -good luck -it went through our house and we are alive. Some poeple are just not that fortunate.
