lol!
I am on the other end of this drama...serving the divorce papers to said inmate. I have a soft heart, so this is not something I relish (it's the one time when an inmate asked if he could just sit there for a minute, he did not want to leave my office with tears/weakness showing)
There are many weddings performed where I work, though.

Gosh wonder if they booked Jerry Springer yet?

I thought I was alone in this world.
Former spouse who I separated from because of HER erratic & scary behavior, had a b.f. whom she had only known a few weeks & his parole/probation? was revoked & he was sent up, they were married in the county court house attached to the jail BEFORE he was transferred to state lol
Sounds much like this story.
To add more drama she had wanted my then 7th grd. daughter to be a bridesmaid lol, missing school for the 2nd time in her life.? lol no minors allowed (SHEW)
Hey I never thought of that before I could have started my own topix thread of my diary involving her going back 4 yrs now lol SO MUCH DRAMA it might have had a devout following or a group of just NON -believers because not THAT MUCH b.s. could involve ONE PERSON that wasn't even under the influence while doing it!
I can believe ANYTHING people do. Rick

"Love is the ultimate outlaw. It just won’t adhere to any rules. The most any of us can do is to sign on as its accomplice. Instead of vowing to honor and obey, maybe we should swear to aid and abet. That would mean that security is out of the question. The words “make” and “stay” become inappropriate. My love for you has no strings attached. I love you for free.”

Seems to be the perfect wedding vows for this couple....

Turns out this was not that big of a story or even worthy of weird news.
I know people get married in jail all the time, but I just saw the end of a program about the new high tech jail in Johnson County Ks. & they showed a wedding, & the Jailer there said they see 5-10 a yr.,the groom was also getting ready to get sent up.
Just another case of stupidity the bride had actually tried to drop the original assault charges that got him sent there in the first place. good riddance. Rick
