The officer who was shot is Officer Chuck Shclutz, and he is currently being treated at the CC unit in Mercy Hospital in Muskegon...
Shclutzie is a favored officer in the village of Shelby...I should say a favorite of the People of Shelby, but not a favorite of the Village Council Members as he is leading the recall for three of them including the Village President...and leading the PEOPLE of the village in a reinstatement of Chief Wilson...It is my understanding that he had filed signature petitions yesterday morning at around 9:00 a.m....A lot of the citizens here believe Schultzie was placed on the late shift in retaliation of the Counsil...
Coincidences happen...right

There does seem to be a lot of turmoil in Shelby right now. Policemen risks their lives every time they take a call. We should all say a prayer for this officer and for his speedy recovery.

We were with Chuck and Diane through the night (or morning) and I am happy to say they are home getting some much needed rest. These guys risk their lives everyday. Shelby had three great Police Officers and now, thanks to the village council and a bad guy with a gun, we are down to one. God's blessings Chuck for a speedy recovery.

God bless this protector of our society. Hopefully the person(s) who commited this crime will be caught and justly punished. For the community of Shelby I certainly hope it wasn't any type of inside job as previously mentioned by Brenda.

As a personal friend to Chuck Schultz you should know that the council did not force Chuck to work nights. He has worked this night shift many years before the recent changes by the council. The council was pressing for the Shelby Police to work 4 12 hour shifts per week. Chuck pushed to work 5 8 hour shifts to break up the shifts. Chuck chooses to work the night shift to be available during the day for his family.

SDA seems to have his FACTS a little backward. The guys have worked 4 12 hour shifts for years and years until this new council decided to see if they could tick them off by changing the hours to 5 8 hour shifts. If SDA IS a personal friend of Chuck Schultz, I would think he would know this. I AM TRULY a personal friend of Chuck and Diane Schultz and do know the facts and I am also not afraid to put my name to this and not just initials!!!

We are so happy to hear you will be okay. Lance is in Germany and wanted me to let Schultzy know he is thinking of him and very glad he's still with us. We are praying for you.

Well thats funny because I was told by Chuck hisself at 5:00 a.m. on the 31 of August and I quote..."yeah, I'm the bad guy now, so I get this shift..." Didn't then and don't now sound to me like that was a statement from someone who had a choice.
How close of a friend did you say you were...and to whom...Chuck or the Village Counsoul...
