DIA offers enticements to voters for millage OK

The Detroit Institute of Arts hopes the lure of free admission will sway voters in Wayne, Oakland and Macomb counties to approve a regional tax next month aimed at shoring up the cultural landmark's finances.

Folks please don't vote to subsidize this. Let them think of creative ways to funds this luxury instead of loading it off on the taxpayers. If we subsidized everything that 5 or ten dollars a year would add up quick. Send a message to these fat cats that we wont be part of this scam.they should have managed funds better.it really.is more principal than anything. They spent millions years ago on this building. Why!??? People have to stop fraud waste!! and abuse. How many homeowners really! going to go to the dia? Probably .01 percent or less! Stand up and send a message.don't fund this! Thks

I would not be going to the DIA if it had always been free anyway. I won't be funding them now.
