That must be the only job you get paid for while you're under investigation. Most other places just let you go. No wonder our county is broke.

Could it be that America is broke, busted, bankrupt, because there are still those out there that believe in a system that has been bent, twisted and turned, changed so much, that it is unrepairable...

This system we have has been designed by the politician for the politician and then there are "Law Enforcers" who stand above the law thats handed down to the "people" to make sure the politicians continue on their "free ride"... So yes, it makes sense that the Enforcers would get "paid" vacations while things are "manipulated" to set them free of any charges the rest of us must abide by...

One does not have to become a martyr to change this... But one "does" have to free his/her self from the brain wash and start using "common sense"...

Just a suggestion: One might begin by rereading Thomas Paine's pamphlet "Common Sense" as well as a few of his other writings...

The forefathers of this country fought to get out from underneath a system they felt was not for them... This began by refusing to "think" and "believe" as the system they were under wanted...

What is wrong with the people in this town? Is no one ever held responsible for their own bad judgement and bad behavior?

No woman should ever put herself in a public place, in a totally intoxicated state of mind, that she find herself making such bad decisions about her personal safety.

No man should be dumb enough to put himself alone in a car with, and volunteer to take control and care of, any woman who is found to be that intoxicated in public.

Bad decision for both of them! What is wrong with you two?

I think it's long past time for all adults to be held responsible for their own contributions to the shitty situations they put themselves in! Alcohol or substance ... you made the choice.

this young sheriffs deputy deserves a fair hearing in a court of law.
what doesn't make sense is, it seems he could do some kind of desk duty while waiting for his court date.
as far as the female involved she deserves a fair hearing too! are the charges false?
stranger things have happened.

So quick to be judge and jury arent we? You folks allready have him in jail. Have you ever considered for a second that cops are targets for lawsuits? A lot of lawsuits! There are attorneys that specialize in nothing but lawsuits on cops. And you are the reason why. Listen to all of you...guilty till proven innocent. Lets use an ounce of common sense. I am not saying that he is innocent I dont know but I dont know that he is guilty either. He is 41 years old....so where has his criminal personality been hiding for 41 years? Has he been getting away with kidnapping for 41 years, and as a cop, and finally just got cought? Or did he after 41 years of moral upstanding citizenship say to himself...I feel like committing some felonies today? Makes no sense. But I can line up hundreds of west coast idiots that will sue their own parents for MONEY. Use your heads if they are not completely empty.

Wow...how quick everyone is to judge. have any of you taken the time to look into this story, more importantly the people involved in this story? Tidmarsh has been an upstanding officer for decades and has no disiplinary actions every taken against him. This woman alledging the attack has multiple arrests and run-ins with the law.

there is no evidence to support her story and she, herself has said that she has no memory of what happened.

Bad judgements were made that night...no one should be so intoxicated that they have no idea where they are or how to get home. and, now, not even a police officer can stop and offer help to said person without fear of allegations.

please check the facts before you quickly judge someone you don't know. Just because they are in law enforcement or politics or whatever job, doesn't mean they are automatically gulity of whatever allegation comes there way.

Quit speaking out of your ass! You have NO idea what really happened but you speak like you are the authority. Deputy Tidmarsh is probably one of the most caring, considerate, and up-standing people I've known (and I've known him for more than 25 years).
This allegation is as far from plausible that you can get.
Now go home, find your anal lube, and stick something sharp and pointy up-your-ass, you worthless armchair referee.
