From Topix: "Please note by clicking on "Post Comment" you acknowledge that you have read the Terms of Service and the comment you are posting is in compliance with such terms."
Terms of Service:( http://www.topix.com/topix/terms ): "You agree to NOT use the service to: upload, post, email, transmit or otherwise make available any content that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, torturous, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, libelous, invasive of another's privacy, hateful, or racially, ethnically or otherwise objectionable."
I have studied the "Terms of Service" from top to bottom and can't see why you removed my comment and all those related to it. It did not violate any of your terms. Are you using "otherwise objectionable" as a license to censor any view that does not agree with yours. Mr. Perriello is a holder of public office and is currently involved in a re-election campaign. Are you removing all comments that might indicate support for his opponent? Is this an open forum or not?

<quoted text>You make good points; but do we need someone else's concept of what should and should not be posted? Maybe put a limit on how many report it as abuse before "pulling it"? The professional agitators reveal themselves for what they are through their rants. Who decides the line?
BTW, always enjoy reading your posts, even if I don't agree with you sometimes. There, that was nice, and I feel good about it.
Your points are good too. While the system is not perfect, I have seen several professional agitators not posting, and hopefully they have been pulled. If Moore is one of several moderators, I am assuming that they decide the line, and of course, they have opinions that we may/or may not agree with. They could be using the number of reports of abuse before removing them and I have no idea what it is based on. BTW, I have started reading your posts... I don't recall seeing them until some months ago, but they have caught my eye. I know that I have strong opinions, am very out spoken and cannot expect everyone to agree with me, the same as I don't agree with everyone. I appreciate your honesty and saying that you enjoy my posts. That was nice!!!

My comments do not have anything to do with the comments removed from this topic. I had read them, but don't remember what they were. I was speaking regarding the forums in general and, I just want to clarify this.

Don't worry. After the massve Republican sweep in November, we will be able to take any news organization that engages in censorhip and shut it down for good! Anybody supresses anything and the new conservative FCC will yank them off the air!

I appreciate your enthusiasm. But, wouldn't that also constitute censorship?

well well tv 29 has just proved that in America their is no more "freedom of speech"- if you write a comment that doesnt reflect how tv 29 thinks you should then they just delete your comment. Thanks tv 29- my dad fought in WWII for this country to keep their freedom and their rights- now tv 29 just takes them away!!! I think tv 29 has managed to take a step backwards instead of forwards!! And tv 29 a few deletions of how people feel about Tom Perriello will not help him to keep his position where he is at- I agree Tom Perriello has made major mistakes (other than this vehichle incident) and I can feel his political career coming to an end next election!!!!

most of us that have had our comments deleted have only expressed what many people are too scared to express- and that is the TRUTH pure and simple. I dont know how telling the truth can be vulgar or or defamotory!!
