This is not about politics... Obviously you aren't in school or don't have children who are in school. This is about school closings and people trying to find out about if school will be closed or what not. This has nothing to do with politics so please knock it off!

I think school should be closed Friday due to dangerous roads. My child could not even come home on her bus today due to our road being closed for flooding. Most roads in Matoaca are flooding and our children are going to get HURT!!!

Considering that they're are down trees, flooded roads, and downed powerlines out this way, I really don't understand why they haven't closed Chesterfield Country Schools. If this keeps up I'm just not sending my sons to school tomorrow, Safety over education.

A lot of standing water and debris on the roads here in Brunswick County, all these schools need to just stay on the safe side and close tomorrow. It's really messy outside.

i really hope colonial heights gets closed! it is wayyy to dangerous out there to be having busses and cars out on busy roads. everyone should just be able stay home and get a fresh start on monday when all of this mess is cleared up. and just speaking for myself and others that go to my school, it is absolutely nasty and gross outside and kids dont need to be out in this.

oh, and i also agree with alot of people on here, just leave politics out of this, no one cares! this is about school delays and closings. politics have nothing to do with that!

you need to install an alert system on your web page for school closings so that paretns do not check your web page all the time. This is a suggestion. Thank You. a parent

Chesterfield County Public Schools must install an alert system like the universities for emergencies and school closings.

CCPS is liable if an emergency happens in an school. Staff, student, and parents must be notified immediately.

The system can be used for school closings as well.
