It should be free $16.25 for a big truck. I go thought it 1-2 times a day. For what? It is a small bridge that does not need to be taxed.

Just think if they didn't have the toll authority siphoning off money. Tolls would be about a penny a vehicle.

Another puff piece story by a third rate news department. Interview some of the drivers, not a driver that is passing through at 2pm on a trip to Colorado. Five months of delays. Today you will have a ton of people going through the toll lanes thinking they're open. Delays tonight will be astronomical. But, WFMZ is on the case.. Good job again!

Anyone else figured out why the delay?

Love the name calling.
A little sarcasm is lost on people without a lot of intelligence.
Of course the toll takers aren't doing the work, but the current project will eliminate some of them...
Those jobs are also one of the last Patronage jobs available for those elected to state office.
And you wonder why the project is delayed....
hmmm.
Are you one of them?

Why does this agency seem to get a free pass from the news media and the state reps? Time for it to be abolished. Tear down these booths! Time to start a Facebook page about these morons.

No I'm not a state worker.
All state jobs at that level require you to pass a civil service exam so they are not patronage jobs.
They will find something else for the person to do based on his/her skills and time in.
The project is more than likely delayed because of the inept private contractor that was hired. Because most private contract are lazy and cut corners. From what your saying I bet your one of them.

Then you are clueless.
It is a known fact the toll takers are the last vestige of patronage jobs.
You are appointed by your local state representaive, until the next repdecides to keep you, or not....

Only commissioners are ding dong. A toll collector or maintenance worker would not be appointed. Look in your crackerjack box maybe you'll find your brain as a prize.

Do you realize it took 4 months (4 months!) to take down a couple toll booths and put up a steel structure. Do you know how much time and fuel was waiting because of that. Good job Joe!
