Mold is a big probelm in schools. Hopefully, someone can come up with an way of detecting and preventing the spread of mold.

A lot of school districts try to save money and shut down the HVAC system for the summer. A damp dark building is the perfect spot for mold.

Right on , and guess who's at the brunt of the work during the summer stripping and waxing floors ,beside moving every room of desks , chairs and book shelves out in the hall.

We didn't ask for the air to be put on becaise we were hot, it was to help dry the wax that all the chairs pull off on the first day of school, alomg with small patches of tile ?

The administration should get a life and find out the hard work that is done during the summer months getting ready for the first day of school ?

No air conditioning during the summer for the custodians , let the poor bastards sweat.

They just don't get it , we like to sweat , but the administrators caused the mouldring condition.

You may have a point. I guess if the air isn't circulating, that could cause a problem when the builidng is not built with many windows like they did in the past.

This school district has to be one of the worst I have ever seen..they wait till the end of summer before they check for mold.. wouldnt you think of looking for that long before classes started, especially in a wet summer like we just had... and we drove by the school Sunday just to see if anyone was working and not a car was in the parking lot. I guess they were enjoying the long weekend, meanwhile what do the parents who have to be at work do with their kids who should be in school...again thee worst school district I have ever seen.
