clean cop, right. I won't list them here, but I know someone is working on a list of prior, unrelated "transgressions" shall we call them? But then I must be a criminal, right? Keep kicking up the sand all you like, but the dust will clear.

I've been following the case and I have a few take aways. This is how I see it at face value:

1. This whole thing was initiated by Tim Hill by basicly stealing $10K.

2. David was trying to help someone who was ripped off.

3. David may or may not have used good judgment but either way his intentions were good.

4. If he did anything wrong, his offense is relatively minor.(If anything he would be guilty of busting Hills chops by towing his car and arresting him.) He should've been reprimanded or suspended for a week.. It did not warrant a kidnapping charge and looking at 20 years in prison. Give me a friggin break!!!

5. This was a witch hunt. Who knows the prosecutors motivations.

6. Dave is an honest, good guy. Tim Hill is a scum bag.

That is what makes this case so disturbing and sad. That just how I see it.

Go on, Mr./Ms. In Response to, keep trying to deflect attention away from the convicted felon. Bottom line, if my opinon is worthless, so is yours. And the only opinions that mattered were those of the 12 people who sat on that jury. And we know what they concluded. And now the only remaining opinion that matters is that of the judge, whose opinion will be rendered in a few weeks.
c'mon tell us the truth are you one of the teenagers that pascarelli is sneaking around with, is that why you dont know anything about the truth,. you need to stop listening just to 3 people's story b/c the 3 of them are very evil.

Well said. You've succintly captured the essence of this sutuation.

The DA spent 5 weeks prosecuting David and 3 years investigating. Know who else had a 5 week trial? OJ!!! And he killed 2 people (well, at least he was charged with those killings). Does that seem like a good use of state resources? It was a witch hunt, and it continues with Cachopa's case.

You forgot the part when Hills complained to the Chief , the police chief should have done an investigation. He could have made a brief statement that Mr Cohen should not have let his day job overlap with his evening job, that he was counseled , then case would have been closed. Why didn't the chief do that?
He should respond to any complaint even if he thinks a person is a criminal. I have yet to see any conviction of Mr. Hills but Mr. Cohen maybe facing jail time.
If the police chief did his job we would not be discussing this here.

You can't steal what is given freely to you. Gotta deal with the Board on that issue. And the rabid supporters out here are just a handful of family members and a few friends. The vast silent majority in Stoughton knows the truth about Cohen. Now just get off your butts and vote next time!

People who speak for David .
His family and close friends understood can't knock that.( I do feel awful for the family )
Criminals that he helped out , They owe him ,and are owned.
Young officers that he and others trained and molded, You lost your leader .
Grow up and think for yourselves.

Lets not forget 10 yrs ago ,Friend convicted drug dealer Stephen Schuko that he help out and got burnt . and the 850 pounds of weed stashed in a storage unit , Cohen failed to Inform the DA office and State police about.
Or the supporter who is pictured in the Stoughton jornal with officer L.A. on the bench , How many times was he stopped for driving with suspended license and drug offences , A call over the radio let him go.!!
Many residents have scanners and are very well informed.
Don’t paint him as tough on crime and a clean cop !

Its very unlikely that Blount, Welch, Pascarelli and selectmen / town manager could mastermind all the charges.
If Blount, Welch, or Pascarelli are behind it ,Then its your job to contact Norfolk DA or other county offices/state and investigate it.
Why would these guy want to make their lives a living hell , Welch since all this started ,Went for Detective to Patrolmen , Pascarelli isn’t he retiring soon , Blount still seems to get a lot of O.T .

Departments work with the district attorney office and hate defense attorneys what happened here gentlemen ?

MY THOUGHTS hit the nail on the head. David does not deserve any of this. His intentions were good.

Now what?? The Police may think twice before they do their job?? I know I would want my 10 grand back if someone stole it and I would start by calling the police.

There is a VERY small percent of his fellow workers that are NOT supporting him. WHAT DOES THAT TELL YOU??

David is one of the hardest working people I know. He earned everything that he has.

The community is also going to suffer. Despite all of this, He still VOLUNTEERS every night to our local children. Now he has to explain this? These kids idolize him.

This is so bad. It all is who you know. Don't tell me the connections at the DA office weren't being used.

The whole thing is horrible.

Do you think David went to work one day with the intention of committing a crime (whether he did or not is still the root of this debate)?
Do you think Tim Hills went to work soliciting investments with the intention of using the money for something other that what was advertised?
Do you think Viverito and his salesman intentionally switched a car on a buyer and then refused to refund her deposit?
Do you have the ability to think logically and see the difference in these actions?

You obviously haven't been paying attention. Welch went from Det. Sergeant to Patrol Sergeant. This is a lateral move not a demotion. And if you want to defend the moral fiber of people like Joe P. and Blount- you have no clue of what they are capable of. You obviously haven't heard about the Tosca Dr. incident and sex with multiple minors. Ask the Mrs., she knows all about it. Blount is not capable of telling the truth. On any given day Blount will reverse himself to suit the situation. Call the DA and ask if he was the subject of a grand jury invest. Better yet, call the Town Manager and ask him. Then ask why he is protecting him. And why he wants Blount to be Chief. He's not qualified to do the Chief's laundry. He should be fired immediately. Ask any cop in Stoughton who hasn't got an axe to grind and they'll tell you what a scumbag Blount is.

To convict David C. and possibly waste a jail cell fro a person trying to clean up all the wasted sperm in our society. Let an innocent man go to jail and Drug dealers and pedifiles walk the streets, good job!!!!! Convict a person that cares about people and they're well being.
