I think it is an embaracment to the residents of Nodaway County to abandon when Ben Espey has given 24 years in a position with very little thanks going his way. May we all share in the blame if things go wrong. Several will be able to sleep a night knowing we tried. Half sat on their backsides and did nothing.

If Espey wanted to remain sherriff maybe he should have put some effort into campaigning instead of taking for granted he would win.
