Yes the pain clinic reopened but they only let certain people know and they didn't call all the pts and not even all the staff. When some off the staff ask when we they are going back the ignore them and won't tell them nothing about what is going on or nothing. This place is very unorganized and VERY unprofessional. They have a girl screening pts and giving shots that has no medical experience or medical degree. That is illegal. This place needs to be investigated very good. They had the male medical assistant and the medical assistant with glasses that is rude seeing pts like PA's the beginning to the middle of Aug and that is VERY illegal. Bet the Board of Medicine doesn't know that cause that there would shut the place down. I know pts are in pain and there is some that aint and I am sorry that pts that are in pain for all the stuff they have had to go through but my advice is go to the princeton or charleston pain clinic. That place over charges pts just to get there money then say they owed it and they really didn't.

THe receptionist was telling people who just walked in that it was better to come by for an appt. than wait to be called. So maybe you should stop in

....I agree and I think if they get the pain clinic back open I think that the doctors there should do a Pill Count on a weekly basis just to make sure they are not selling the drugs or using them to get high..wonder if they can check levels in the blood to see if you have a certain amount of the drug in your system at all times? but even if the doctors due a pill count weekly I think this may have a little impact on the sellers/users..If you have to drive two hours for your monthly appt to get the script/drugs then you should'nt mind driving three more times to get a pill count..simple as that, and most of em' probably got medical cards so the state pays for it anyways..so doing it weekly would be better..or even writing the script for just a week supply of narcotics at a time...JUST FOR THOUGHT

Why don't you just suggest admitting them to the hospital for life then? The pain clinic does not have the extra time to do a weekly pill count, heck, even with it being close for a month, it is accepting new patients right and left. DO you seriously think they care about a pill count? They do what is required by law and that is it. As far as the medical card goes, there is alot more private insurance and workers comp patients. What do you think that place is, just a pill hit? Get a life. Everyone is judging that place, just wait till you have an injury that lives you down for the remainder of your life and the only way you get any relief at all is to have injections and meds. I cannot believe how easy it is for you to judge all of the patients based on some that abuse it. The whole concept of a pain clinic was to treat chronic pain so that people could have some sort of life. There are pain clinics all over the US. Not just here in WV.

...Nope but it sure would knock ALOT of the drugs off the streets if one more shut down, obviously Nicholas co. does'nt have a pain clinic for a reason. personally I did'nt even know such a clinic existed. if your in that much pain to have to stay up on meds then maybe you should try making different choices in your life physical and mental. Think about it, What do you think people back then did>? They were taught to deal with it the normal right ways..you can have a life without drugs try putting GOD in it as well, I did not say I judged anyone that goes their it's just the siple fact that they give out the scripts for meds and make it an oppurtunity for easy living for the lazy not to mention us as tax payers..More people need to learn that sometimes in life you have to deal with pain deal with it the best you can and realize it is part of life...try physical therapy, yoga and meditation. and mostly PRAYERS

For your information, I was born with spinal birth defects and was not expected to walk. I beat those odds, but I have had to have several surgeries which caused more problems. No physical therapist will work on me, because it does not help. I have been that route too. As far as yoga goes, I have a condition that my spine is freezing in one position. Try bending that over.I am allergic to herbal remedies and alot of other meds. MY DOCTOR chose this clinic and I go there. At least I am able to live on my own, I don't take too much meds, I don't snort or inject them. I certainly do not sell them. Not a lot of people even know I am on them. They just know I am able to have a few good days a week rather than be in a bent position and in pain. For your information, JACKASS, this is what works for me. Go sell your line of bull to another and get off the preachin wagon. Not everyone is taking these meds to get high and not be in reality. Some of us want to enjoy what life is able to be enjoyed while we can.

And another thing, I thank God everyday that I get out of bed. I asked God years ago to let me get through enough to raise my kids. I had them, I wanted to take care of them. And he did. I have been told I will never get that old due to the nature of what I have. BUt you what, I have fought a good fight, and I bet that you yourself could not have stood up and walked with some of the things that have happened to me. SO don't judge me, GOd will when I get there
