If you are traveling tonight or tommorrow, you should verify you car insurance. People around here can not drive on dry surfaces, much less anything frozen!

Good luck.....and let's be safe out there!

You know I always get a little nervous when they say we aren't going to get a whole lot of anything. In years past those forecasts have meant our biggest winter weather events. Remember the large ice storm of 2004? I do, because they weren't calling for much of anything and we ended up having a huge ice storm with no power for days...I was pregnant and about to deliver and my whole family was on the edge of their seats worried I would go into labor. Who knows???

Oh crap. Frozen precipitation prediction, these idiots around here break there necks getting to store to clean them out and then run every one off the road to get home and order carry-out pizza...

Yeah, I'll never forget that "light coating of ice" they were expecting.. as it kept getting thicker, and thicker.. and WHAM No power for 5 days.. ACK!! Thankfully I have a fireplace in my new home..

Oh well, we'll just have to live off of sweet tea and frozen pizzas. I'm not getting in that mess at the grocery store!
