You know that you can see the crime rates for Richland County on line at RCSD.com . Alsoposted are the racial statisics. Crime in Richland county is up 12% over last year and last year was not a very good year. Sooner of latter citizens are going to have to stand up and be counted, No more "He is such a GOOD boy"

I knew ms. halfacre and this is so sad. This woman didn't mean any harm to anybody, I feel the suspect needs prayer and guidance. We have prayed for Ellie today at her funeral. God teaches us to forgive and love one another. If we follow these teachings then maybe these senseless things would not happen.
Amen I so agree...

<quoted text>WRONG - totally racially motivated.
This wasnt racially motivated . It was just a senseless crime. I mean Lord knows I hate what happened but think about it, how did he know who or what color person lived in that house?

There were 16 pictures of her grandchildren in the room where he took her life and that did not matter to him. This has nothing to do with race - this man has no heart.

I went to high school with Demetrius Pepper, who we use to call "Big Pep". He was a very nice, lovable, caring person. As a matter of fact he was the director over our GHS Gopel Ensemble. We do not know what may have caused these series of events. All we can do is continue to keep all the families involved in our prayers.

no stupid susan it doesn't matter if you are black or white or whatever wrong is just simply wrong people kill people no matter what race you are to me it sounds like you are a racist person because every time it says someone did this or did that you always say race this or race that. You act like white people don't do crime. Everybody no matter what race does crime or whatever. If the lady was black or if it was a man the damn fool would have still killed them no matter what race so you are wrong on this one race doesn't have a d**n thing to do with this, I believe he had some hard drugs in him to do something that stupid just to go to a football game but racial motivated no.

I want to say thank you for being the only one to post actual facts. Thank you to everyone else who clearly sees that all families involved are victims and need prayer.

I want to say thank you to many people who posted the positive comments. We all raise children to do what is right but in the end we cant control the events in life that unfold. I must say that all that judge others are in need of prayer just as much as all of the families involved inthese unfortunate events.

This entire incident had nothing to do with race. If people would stop and recall what really happened...the first women shot was black. And there wasnt a sign outside of the second woman's house that indicated that a white woman lived there. It was completely random and people need to stop being ignorant to what they dont know.

I was sadden today by the senseless act on a great, great lady, and personal favorite teacher of mine. Mrs Halfacre taught me at Rikard elementary, and was one of the sweetest people the world ever had, and she will be greatly missed by me, and everyone who ever had the pleasure to meet, or know her like I did. My deepest sympathy goes out to all her family and friends, and may we all meet up with her again to show her our love for her!
