McM Restoration Volleyball Leagues Comes to Ocean Beach Park
Hampton Bays, New York March 4, 2009: East End Volleyball and MCM Restoration are joining forces to bring a weeknight beach volleyball league to Ocean beach Park in New London, CT. The league will have 3 divisions and offer competition for novice to skilled level players.
The Ocean Beach Leagues will be part of the EEVB league program that attracts over 2,000 players at sites throughout LI. The New London league teams will all be eligible to go the AVPNext League Nationals at Cedar Beach, Babylon, NY in September to compete against players from throughout the US.
The 2008 league schedule at Ocean Beach Park will be:
Every Wednesday night, June 17 through Aug. 19
6 pm until dark
3 divisions:
4s for skilled level players
Competitive Coed 6s for intermediate level players
Recreational Coed 6s for novice level players
Ocean Beach Park has the prettiest beach of any East End Volleyball program. Players love to come to Ocean beach because of the beautiful views from the beach of the lighthouses, off-shore islands, ferries, The Coast Guard’s Eagle Clipper Ship and the occasional submarine. The beach is perfect for beach volleyball tournament because it is shielded from strong winds and the sand is soft for diving yet firm enough to facilitate jumping. Ocean beach also ahs all of eh facilities that players and fans would want from food to live entertainment to after play drinks

McM Restoration owner pat McAneeny has played the sport for the past 15 years and has improved from a week doubles player into a very strong tournament level paler. His support of beach volleyball at Ocean Beach is supplying many local players with an opportunity to compete and improve their games like he was able to do. The McM leagues will also offer the opportunity for recreational level players to just come out and enjoy a fun night at the beach playing volleyball
