Let's rename it Glass beads road. Politically correct? No. True? Yes.

This woman (crazy lady) says that she was raised to be diversified and that half breed is an insult to Native Americans. 1) Does she even live in Auburn? 2)When was the last time we saw Native Americans in Auburn?

Half Breed rd. is an Auburn tradition. Sorry girl, this is a small to where your politically correct notions just don't fly. Try going to D.C. and changing the name of the 'White' House.

People are just looking for ways to be offended and make a stink so that people will listen to them cry about something. Leave the name alone!!! Go to Kansas City, There is a road the named "Black Bob Road" go cry over that one.

I'm Native American, have lived in Auburn, though I don't currently. I didn't find the name offensive. I liked it.(The term was used by our very country to avoid paying restitution to Native Americans hundreds of years ago.) Just as I don't find "Squaw" to be offensive, because the original meaning of the word was "mother of many" or "wife". It was later used to offend. Some people just want to cause trouble and draw attention to everything. Let's worry about some real issues, like the failing education system in America, true hate crimes, and the war in Afghanistan. One road, in a small town, isn't a major issue!
