Ed Mangano wins Debate at Hofstra

Mr. Mangano was on the mark Tuesday evening in the candidates for County Executive debates. Ed put forth many fresh new ideas for the future and prosperity and tackling the salient problems that plague Nassau County. Current executive Suozzi seemed to be mostly on the defensive, and overused an already tired mantra about bringing the county back from the brink. In actuality, what brought the county back was a $150 million gift from NY State, and 43% tax increases and over-inflated assessment numbers that were jiggered by his assessor. Oh, let's not forget that Suozzi has drained Nassau's rainy day fund almost dry so he can help balance his budgets. Tom had no new ideas, just excuses. It is high time to give him his pink slip and Ed Mangano shined, coming across as a very competent and smart problem solver. He will make a superb County Executive.
