Clearly the saying "bring a knife to a gun fight, you will lose every time" is false when the ones with the guns are the retarded police!!!!!!!!!!

Melanie- the point would be that I did not see a knife. The kid sold knives as a job so I am sure there were kitchen knives in the house. The parents were handcuffed and in a police car for 3 hours while the police went through their house. Think they could have planted a knife? Fact is the kid was shot in the back. What did he spin to try and dodge the bullet? Cover up!
Are you saying he got killed on a sales call?

Shitstirrers..always know what's wrong and who to blame. I worry about my granddaughter that when I'm gone these are the kind of people she'll have to deal with. Some of you should definitely be shyster lawyers cause you can really turn a story around to your favor.

Who are you going to call when the police stop your kid on the street and you go to intervene?
you will be beaten and arrested if your lucky.
Police are the gangsters and creatons.
go back to the bar and stay there.
they rob the system, rape women and teens and retire at 41.

A terrible tragedy occurred earlier thIs week in Pt Lookout. A23yr old man was killed , and the life of one PDCN officer will forever be changed, as will the lives of this young mans family. I am quite certain that all involved are saddened and wish they could turn the clock back. Given the amount of manpower present at the scene, and the training of the officers, this absolutely should not have happened. I grant that in all likelihood the police officer who killed this young man did not do so with malice aforethought. I firmly believe that the officer acted within the law and thought that hIs life was in imminent danger. I can also pretty much guarantee that 1. It wasnt and 2. Even if it was, it shouldnt have been.

My understanding is that the "shooter" was a patrol officer, and not a member of the specialized unit(s) which were called to the scene to, I gather, talk this young man into coming out to talk to them about the pretty pretty insignificant offense, albeit arguably a felony, committed. And, reading a bit into things, this officer was at a location where the suspect would unlikely seek egress, ie "you cover the back, son- let the experts handle this." then the proverbial "oh shit" occurred. Wish I had a nickel for every time those words were uttered that fateful night.

Those of who have been in a few rodeos know how the rest of this story goes. The wagons circle, the ranks close and nobody says nothin about nothin until the spokes man speaks.

It might sound like I am anti cop or pro killed young man. I am neither. The police have a difficult job to do and sometimes are placed in or place themselves in these "oh shit" circumstances. Although,in my estimation this tragedy was most likely without a doubt 100pct avoidable given the manpower, expertise and body armor at the scene, as son as that young man left the home and (reportedly) ran with a knife (reportedly) towards the officer, all bets are off. Even if the young man was holding a chocolate chip cookie, as long as that officer thought that his life was in imminent danger, deadly physical force was justifiably used. As for the officers firearms utilization, eh- questionable at best. This unfortunately was what is known as a complete clusterfuck. There. I said it. Nothing more. Nothing less.

Anybody who knows a thing or two about a thing or two cannot disagree. Horrible outcome. Absolutely tragic. Shoouldve been handled better by all involved.

I think you summed it up impartial observer. It seems there was only one day of media coverage.(not that I am a fan of the media). I find that a bit odd.

You too do not call the police when someone robs you or attemps to rob you, someone might get hurt. When a complaint is filed and a person describes someone who was already making trouble in a local bar and said he was going to KILL the person he had an argument with; then the police have every right to confront that person to ask them questions. All this punk who already stabed someone 5 years ago had to do was come out and talk to the police. Instead he chose to stone wall them. they waited outside trying to get him to come out. If you know what you think you know the police were trying at that point to get a supeona to enter the premise. The punk chose to climb out a window, not a door but a window, and then run at the police. It was night time, it was dark and a police vest only stops certain types of bullets (small caliber0 and a knife goes right thorugh a vest like a knife through soft butter. Before you judge anyone make sure that 1 you know the facts. 2 Stand in their shoes and let the punk charge at you in the dark while you yell stop police stop where you are and get down and let him keep chargeing at you until he stickes that knife in you or shoots you in the head. Police are here to investage and stop crime and have every right to go home to their family at night, all he had to do was come out and explain himself and even if he went to jail he can get a lawyer. You have to come out of your house sooner or later or run for it. Only the guilty run! How do I know the facts I LIVE UP THE BLOCK JUST A FEW HOUSES AWAY.

You're no fun explaining it factually its much more interesting when people make up what they can to spin the story. Please keep common sense and intelligent thoughts to yourself
