Yes I agree, Nassau County is very redneck and conservative. I'm glad to see this article finally made the gay/lesbian news and national news.

Roboblogger:

For some reason this post is not moving to the top of the forum in the Gay/Lesbian forum board after a new post. It doesn't move a bit but it does on the other forum boards such as ACLU, Nassau County, FL, etc.

If you can try to also post this thread in the Florida, Florida Government, U.S. News, U.S. Politics, Yulee, FL, Fernandina Beach, FL, Hilliard, FL, Bryceville, FL, and Jacksonville, FL forum boards.

Here is an article and forum thread about the ACLU suing a California school because the teacher and principal made a female student remove her shirt that said: Prop 8=Hate. I don't think it has hit the gay news or Associated Press yet.

Recall Brown; annul exitsting gay marriage; ready National Guard to invade SF for failure to comply to annulments; recall gay judges; separate state for P8 counties; then separate country, west midwest, south, and western Canada; build Bering strait bridge to Russia for energy and new alliances that are not gay marriage states.

You can't have gays giving BJs to straight kids in school. They would just be encouraging the spread of AIDS.

Who said anything about straight and gay high school students performing fellatio on each other? You sound very biased and ignorant. AIDS is not a "gay disease." For your information, it is extremely rare to catch HIV via oral sex. The gastric juices in the saliva kill the virus and there is too much air around there for the virus to survive long. The safest unprotected sex is probably oral sex. There has only been one recorded case of receiving HIV from oral sex and even that case is debated on how it was transmitted.

Just to let you know, Roboblogger isn't an actual person, but the site automatically feeding newspages that either don't have any editors, or any active ones, to update them on a daily basis. This version of the story probably started out on the newspage of either Nassau County or Okeechobee and doesn't show up on the forums that the story has been linked to, until a comment is posted on the story from that original page.

As for the forums that a story will be linked to, even actual editors have no control over that. It is an automated service of the site which scans the article for key words associated with the different forums. I'm not sure what would cause an article to link to the forums like US poitics, or Florida Government, but for them to link to a particular local forum, the name of the town/city has to appear in the story.

How can we as regular posters post content on multiple forum boards simultaneously like this one?

My opinion about this article is it is not an article at all. It is an opinion and a very one-sided/biased one at that. The Associate Content website seems to be for "conservative" views only. This person claims to be for equality for everyone but he seems to be more for not offending the "moral majority," religious, and "rednecks" at the expense of gay people's rights. I live in Nassau County and in response to his content I'll say that Nassau County will never be "ready" for a gay club. But you gotta break the ice somewhere/sometime. They will just have to get used to a gay club because they are violating federal law by denying one. People weren't "ready" for black rights or interracial marriages during the civil rights era but they had to learn to evolve with an evolving society. Nassau County is a very bigoted community. They claim to be such good Christian but deep down underneath they are full of hatred and bigotry and discrimination. I could write a book on how terrible this place is for gays.

I will ask gays to boycott the tourist attraction Fernandina Beach, FL (on Amelia Island) which is in Nassau County, FL. If I lived elsewhere I would never spend a dime of my gay money in Fernandina Beach/Amelia Island/Nassau County, FL.

In Nassau County when gays students are harassed, bullied, and battered the school staff will turn a blind eye and look the other way. The students' complaints will fall on deaf ears. All the more reason we need a Gay-Straight Alliance Club. They also discriminate against disabled/handicapped students. There was a teacher in the newspaper a few years ago for making derogatory jokes in class towards homosexuals but he did not get in trouble because he was bashing gays but because one of the students was offended by the mention of gay sex. Wanna know more about Nassau County schools just ask me.

Damn I'm glad I'm no longer in school.

Oh. No wonder the person's view is so conservative: he lives in Yulee, FL. I bet he is a Republican.

Here is his profile:

I wish he would get an account with www.topix.com . He would be cool to debate with.

As far as I know you can't. If you, as a regular poster, link an article to a forum, it will only appear on that forum and even if you post it to multiple forums, those posts won't link to each other. As an editor, the only articles that get scanned for links are the ones that appear on their various newswires and with those, we are not given the access to add to, or in some cases subtract, links provided to them.

Just to let ya'll know a gay friend of mine told me about what his straight friend who is HIV positive said about Nassau County, Florida's Health Department. The Nassau County Health Department has denied HIV positive people an HIV/AIDS support group because the Health Department states it promotes homosexuality which is against their religious beliefs.
