where is the charge of assualt under color or whatever they call it we a police officer uses his authority and/or badge to assualt a civilian.

also most of these cops that work inside the jail is because they have no clue how to deal with people and they can treat an incarcerated person like an animal and usually no-one hears about

There are sooooo many police and correctional peace officers who are criminals. They want these jobs just so they have power to control and abuse. Those who carry out their crimes "under color" should get extra harsh punishment, although they usually get lighter sentences or probation or a slap on the hand. Unfortunately, many of our judges and other "leaders" are criminals, too, and intoxicated with their own selfish power and control. If you are a celebrity, have money or in law enforcement, you can get away with just about anything. Our justice system needs a thorough overhaul throughout the entire country.

He is not accused of committing these offenses while on duty, so under the color of authority, has nothing to do with it at all. The alleged victim is a minor, he worked in a county jail where all of the inmates are adults!

There are bad apples in every profession, law enforcement is just a high frofile occupation. You make assumptions about the "type of people" who work as correctional officers, who are you to judge? Don't steroetype, it is such an ignorant action on anyones part.

Not all cops or correctional officers are bad people. Its a tough job and there will always be a few "bad officers" and they do get weeded out, like he did. If anything we need to thank Solano County for removing him and charging him. I know that being a correctional officer is a difficult and dangerous job. You are locked up with some of the worst crap on earth. But this does not give you a right to go out and commit crimes. He did and he was caught and arrested.

I know Chad. He's not bad or evil or a perpetrator of misuse of authority, just a guy who did the wrong thing with the wrong person at the wrong time. Any other man who did what he did would be just as wrong, but perhaps not as newsworthy. As far as being a correctional officer, he was fair and well-liked by the inmates for the most part. I never heard that he took advantage in any way, and went out of his way to not be a "jerk cop." He did, however, have somewhat of a reputation as a player, although NEVER within the bounds of his job. I'm sorry for his family, and I'm sorry for him, and I hope that it gets through to him that his behavior has jeopardized everything he has or will have.
