Teen drivers warned of deadly distractions

In an effort to reduce the number of teen deaths caused by distracted and reckless driving, law enforcement, education and traffic officials have launched a new awareness and education program.

It would be really helpful if they actually enforced the law that says New Drivers are not allowed to have any passengers under the age of 20 in their car for 12 months. This law is broken every day by just about every kid with a new license and most of the parents don't seem to care either.

I think its about time the government intervenes. Its just too dangerous. I text exclusively from my computer and avoid using a phone to text, especially when driving. I use www.smstextnow.an d it allows me to send text messages for free. A little safer then doing it while driving!!!
