Ak Steel is a bunch liars!
AK Steel punishes it's workers so much for what they call safety violations that workers are afraid to report their injuries. People are still getting hurt in their plants. They just don't report their injuries anymore for fear of being punished and/or fired.
Consequently, they take their injuries home with them and report them as home injuries. Insurance covers the injury; no workers comp; thus no osha recordable.
In my opinion, AK's safety program is one big lie.
