I suggest you call one of the Koster's or K Moros they are members of the fire Dept and should be able to help you.

I believe that the Company 3 was called, Hackettstown was called to cover the Borough of Netcong along with Flanders Fire. Hackettstown and Netcong Fire have had a long standing relationship for over 50 years. The chief knew what he was going to get by calling them, not to say the other departments are bad by any means. Hackettstown had a 8 man engine enroute to cover them within 4 minutes of being dispatched. So kudo's to Chief Bates and to the rest of the members of Netcong Fire and the other departments that were there.Job Well Done..

You are so full of it - I was at the fire and what I saw was a group of firemen working together to put out a structure fire. What are you a 4th grader - didn't your parents ever tell you it is not polite to talk about someone elses weight. Remember people grow up into all size, shapes and colors!!!! They did not let people drive by until the fire was out and everyone was cleaning up. It was probably hard for you to see the fire all the way from your firehouse in budd lake. Time for a new pair of glasses.

The road was closed so I don't know what you are talking about. Who really cares who covers for who, who ever is ready then that is it, and who cares what Budd Lake has maybe they are suppose to cover another town when things happen. Does it really matter as long as the job gets done.

Fire Marshall bill - seems to think he is an expert. Unless you were there standing with the chief - how do you know what equipment he needs and which company he should call. The chief did an excellent job of controlling the scene and the fire was knocked down quickly. Yes the road was closed - so fire marshall bill stick to budd lake and keep your wrong opinions to yourself.

have you seen the equipment that Budd Lake has. Have you seen their firehouse. Have you gone to their fundraisers.

All of the above is why they RULE!!!!

All Netcong does is FIGHT, FIGHT, FIGHT .... BACK STAB, BACK STAB, BACK STAB.

Why don't you people follow the rules and regulations than there would be no room for doubt.

BL. Do you have any clue?? NOT. Fight, backstab....? Where in the hell do you get this crap?? You are obviously trying to start some sort of altercation. It very clear you have nothing to do with the NFD so stay out of their business. Their professional organization doesn't need imput from ignorant idiots like yourself. And for your information.....ALL of the rules were followed. You can cowardly can bash this post if you want because I will not be wasting anymore of my time on the garbage that you write. All hail to the Netcong Fire Department!!!!!!!!

Thats right they were discussing the next town council meeting.....did you forget they are all council members.
Mr Still, Mr Koster, and Mr Slyvester were speaking to Mr Moros about the rec committee when young Mr Still joined in about Board of education bussines.

WOW no wonder why they could not handle the fire to much on their plates!! Yes that was a PUN.

In Budd Lake we stay focused on fighting fires NOT town politics.

thank you for enlightening us all. so if you want to get anything done in this town, you must join the fire department to be heard. your statement, although mind boggling, should be looked into for the good of the town. why should the firemen get preferential treatment. sounds like everyone is in cahoots.

It is hard to when you have to go thru the same people for everything. Cahoots can you say payroll? These people do what they do to get their family members tax payer supported jobs. No one cares about putting water on fires anymore it is all about being connected and drinking beer.

how about these people don't take a back seat in their communities like 98% of Americans who get a free ride on the backs of dedicated people. how about you don't bash people who care about the town they live in and want to provide a service as well as a guiding hand. hop in the back seat of life free loader and let the real men handle the dirty work....YOU (all of you bashing losers) have just proven you just cannot make the cut.
Ethics Issue

West New York, NJ

#16 Jul 21, 2009
The fire department does a GREAT job and we should all appreciate that fact.

There are a LOT of people who volunteer their time to organizations, hospitals, nursing homes, canvassing for donations etc. that are vital to helping the sick and less fortunate and we should recognize that fact and appreciate them for their time and effort as well.

HOWEVER,

if CONFIDENTIAL information regarding the town, of which we are taxpayers, is being discussed at the fire houses among and between the firemen it is wrong.

Most importantly, if a citizen is being given preferential treatment of any kind with regard to the town rules and regulations or is being coached on how to get around said rules and regulations because he/she is a member of the fire department or any other organization, it presents a serious ethics problem for all involved and could eventually become a legal issue.

The best way to avoid this happening is to keep the town business at the town hall and ensure that ALL citizens are held accountable for their actions or inactions with regard to town policy.

Again, I would like to thank the volunteer fire department for their time and dedication to keeping us safe.

What the hell are you people talking about????? Politics in the firehouse? Confidential information (ALL public information accessible to anyone who wants it), preferential treatment? People in cahoots, payroll issues, etc. etc. etc. Where does all of this discussion come from. Does anyone here have any REAL basis for this GARBAGE that is written. My goodness, does ignorant crap on this forum spread like wildfire for the stay at home, fat chick van (FCV) moms and clueless tree huggers. Please don't post anymore garbage about the fire department or firefighters in Netcong. They have enough to worry about (like keeping up with TONS of training, state regs., SAFELY answering emergency calls for service , community events, etc.). They volunteer HUNDREDS of hours each month. Instead of bashing everyone, just be thankful that our VOLUNTEERS show up to save your asses and then go home SAFELY to their own families. GOD BLESS.

You got 5 - your are so right. My guess would be the guy doing the mud slinging is a budd lake fireman with an ax to grind. As far as I know, there is not issues between the 2 fire departments but I do know there was an issue between budd lake and hackettstown. Yes budd lake has the money to throw around - lucky for them with all of there fancy equipment and nice firehouse. But that does not matter if the men don't know how to work the equipment. The men of netcong work hard - don't knock them. They are a good group of guys who volunteer - please give them the credit they deserve. Budd lake is a larger area with much more resources than the 1 mile town of netcong. stop the bashing and just stay in budd lake.

Budd Lake firemen are a bunch of babies.....don't they get the "hint" when they are not called by Netcong?? I for one hope that Hackettstown Fire sounded every siren, blew every horn and tossed then some Kleenex as they passed by Budd Lake's firehouse...boo hoo Budd Lakers....mind your own business and stay where you belong - supposedly your own town has enough things for you to do because you claim to be just "SOOOOOOO busy" all the time anyway...

i think you are missing the point here. it is obvious that the person stirring trouble was AT THE FIRE to be able to observe mr. still, koster, sylvester and still discussing town business. i believe the culprit is one of your own.
