Be reasonable 'Free Thinker.' You are setting a terrible example by implying that selling drugs is a good idea. Your opinion is only based on what you read in the paper. I guarantee the Judge had a good reason for his decision and you don't have all of the facts.

So was the "good reason" you refer to based on the criminal activity of the arresting officer and his informant? Mr. Worland's conviction, and all othwers who have suffered at the hands of small town police and their small town minds should be set aside.

"Former" bar owner ONLY because of the actions of this dirty cop. Do I smell civil suit in Mooresville? I recall a certain talk show host with a dependency on Oxycontin. Did he spend time in jail and suffer the damage to his reputation that Mr. Worland did? Rush needs to thank God he wasn't in Mooresville and didn't have to stand in front of a Martinsville judge. Perhaps the judge could explain to us just what constitues a "drug dealer"?

Pugh

MOORESVILLE

The wife of a Mooresville Police officer has been charged with three counts of obtaining a legend drug by fraud. Jennifer M. Pugh, wife of Mooresville Police Officer Eric Pugh, was picked up Wednesday evening and taken to the Morgan County Jail.

According to Detective Sgt. Tim Wells, of the United Drug Task Force, Pugh, 26, was allegedly obtaining numerous prescriptions of hydrocodone without a valid prescription.

Wells charged Pugh in Morgan County with three separate counts of possession of a legend drug. The charges are class D felonies and, if convicted, could bring a jail sentence of up to three years on each charge.

Mooresville Police Chief Tim Viles said the incident does not involve the police department. Viles said he hopes Mrs. Pugh gets the help she needs for her addiction. Her husband, Eric, has been on the department for about 6 years, Viles said.

Jennifer Pugh had been working at a doctor’s office in Greenwood and was allegedly using the doctor’s information to call in prescriptions for herself.

Wells said information came to light about Pugh obtaining prescriptions for hydrocodone and clonazepam.

He said his investigation showed that between April 9, 2008, and Jan. 18 of this year, Pugh had obtained 51 fraudulent prescriptions for 3,280 Hydrocodone pills. Wells said Pugh allegedly used 15 fraudulent prescriptions to purchase clonazepam pills. She filled 19 prescriptions at drug stores in Morgan County. Others were filled in Marion and Johnson counties.

Wells said Pugh admitted to being addicted to the pills and that her family did not know of her addiction.

Pugh allegedly told Wells that she was prescribed hydrocodone for pain after the birth of her son in May 2009 .........wth

Yes its me and i admit i had an addiction and still do but have been clean and sober since november 22nd 2008. The arresting officer was later found guilty of manipulating drug documents and sentenced in morgan county and did time. This officer is a good man and probably saved my life. the informant that wore the alledged wire however was just arrested for strong arm robbery on July 13th. Do i feel I was manipulated into a catching a case, yes, However i am in a much better place, alive and sober and contimplating post conviction relief. if you do not know me do not judge me. i would give anybody the shirt off of my back if they were down and out and needed it. just ask around. to all that think i "am just another drug dealer" without knowing me may god bless you and go easier on his judgement of you.

Joe
