Governor Corbett just began construction of two new prisons on the grounds of SCI Graterford in Montgomery County. The facilities will cost $400 million, and include a 100 bed death row and a women’s unit even though the state’s prison population is finally shrinking. Meanwhile Corbett has slashed hundreds of millions of dollars from education, environmental protection, homeowners assistance, and healthcare and mental health services. Stand with Decarcerate PA to protest Governor Corbett’s broken priorities.

Join us Tuesday, July 17th at 4:00 pm at the gates of Graterford to demand that Corbett cancel the Graterford Expansion and divert the money back into our communities. The rally will take place at the intersection of Route 29 and Graterford Road in Montgomery County.

Decarcerate PA is a grassroots campaign demanding that PA stop building prisons, reduce the prison population, and reinvest money in our communities. Learn more at http://decarceratePA.info/
