Maybe it is time for the city to discuss replacing the old dated HPS & MV street lights with the new LED versions for increased foot candle levels at much reduced energy levels/consumption. It would be cutting edge for a Municipality to undertake, it could actually be a system that could be maintenance free for 15-20 years.
