Just another item on the long list of city responsibilities that are being pushed off on property owners.
If the city management wasn't so lavish in its spending and negotiations with the unions on contracts there might be some money.
They spend money on consultants for redevelopment then back out after spending 10's of thousands if not 100's of thousands. They then spend an obscene amount of money trying to "re-brand" Salinas.
Got a hint for you idiots out there in Salinas city management dream land. You want Salinas to be a destination city? CLEAN IT UP !!
Clear out the bum camps everywhere, Go on the attack concerning the mexican gangs and those who support them.
You people talk about civic pride. Well those of us who pay property taxes and all the taxes that go with empolying people and having a business are already paying MORE than our share.
The city has an obligation to take care of its responsibilities just like we pay our TAXES.
Get it together or come next election will kick your butts out and find people who will do the right thing not the conveint thing.
