If officials did their jobs, I bet over half the realtors and agents and brokers on the peninsula could be brought up on same kinds of charges

Boy if this is the D.A.'s criteria he should be arresting just about every Real Estate agent there is. How many were selling houses at inflated prices when they knew the bubble was bursting?

these real estate people....DO NOT trust any of them...they mislead you and most of the information they provide you is one sided and cannot be trusted.

DO NOT BELIEVE REAL ESTATE PEOPLE...real estate will have to settle back to the 1988 prices according to the top investors with BOFA and CITI..if you think today you got a bargain...you will regret it in three years

You cannot cheat an honest man. These so-called victims were parties to a fraud based upon profits way beyond any reasonable and honest expectation. No clean hands here. Capitalism in a nutshell - Let The Buyer Beware.

Also Mills Brothers: we love "Paper Doll".

I suppose you would back Madoff. Many of the Victims received no profits, 86 year old people losing their life savings. You call crime and fraud "Capitalism in a nutshell". You are so misinformed, or stupid.

The Da would rather go after food for less stores for throwing some light bulbs into the trash. All these crooked real estate deals are some kind of legalized theft designed to protect the local ruling class .

It seems that "white collar crime" is the hardest
to scrutinze. Also these crooks seem to avoid
jail sentences. They are all "connected."
They just lawyer up with other people's money and their victim's are left with their live's in
shambles.

Dean Flippo, Monterey County's DA is too political. He would rather play politics than get into the real job of prosecuting high level criminals. Large scale mortgage and real estate fraud, money laundering.

The problem is this Monterey County's criminal problem doesn't just rest with the violent crimes that take up headlines and have the mob crying Mexican, Mexican, Mexican.

Drive by shootings, o.k. there seems to be a pattern.

High level criminal activity?

Also does anyone really believe that rich local businessmen who have no morals are not engaging in narco trafficking and all the businesses associated with that business? If you read the news you would think this is solely a Mexico/Mexican problem.

There are plenty of greedy so-called honorable business men in this area that are getting away with far too much because we have these morons grabbing headlines and they are easier stories to write, easier to prosecute.

Really people. These girls are not criminals... That's what is wrong with this county... always going after the wrong people. What Real Estate company doesn't do this. This is a waste of time and the DA needs to concentrate more on gang bangers then these girls who run a family based business.

Hey folks I really am missing something here. Are you saying we should ONLY go after gang violence and forget everything else? Pretty stupid if you are. These kind of people ruin people's lives as much as people with guns.

Did any of you know that Monterey based California Department of Real Estate Commissioner, Jeff Davi and his brother, Anthony Davi, Jr. are the owners of Death Row Records? Yes, they own Snoop Dogg's "Doggystyle" album, Dr. Dre etc. Anthony fraudulently lists himself as the New York based CEO of Global Music. http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,382581,00...
Both Davi's spent a whopping (where the heck did they get this money?)$24 million to purchase the record label after Suge Knight filed Bankruptcy. So how many Realtors have an extra $24M lying around. You do the math and see if the Fed's should be investigating the Davi's. Jeff was recently named to the CA Council of Criminal Justice when he should be considered a criminal: http://www.thecalifornian.com/article/2010122...
