SBI reopens criminal probe into Mitchell County jail fire

BAKERSVILLE The State Bureau of Investigation has reopened a criminal probe into the 2002 Mitchell County jail fire that claimed the lives of eight inmates with new evidence that another prisoner set the blaze.

This case will never ever be given full justice because the case was never ever completed correctly the first time way back in 2002.

I was raised in Mitchell county and it has alwas been about who you knew not what you knew and this certainly is true for the jail house fire. Wis some really knowledgeable Fed's would grab this case and then justice might have a chance. The way this case looks now it's just been looked over way toooo long. Why was justice not served in 2002? Why? Rich people can get away with anything in this county but the poor suffer just like they did the night of the fire. Melissia and Deneice will get away with murder because they out smarted the law and that is not hard to do in Mitchell County since there are so many good ole boys.

Melissia and Deneice are a whole lot smarter than the S.B.I. and of course the Mitchell County fellars. Melissia even as a trustee got to open the back door to the jail and let Deneice in the jail then Deneice gave her a hand full of drugs for this favor all the while the Jailer was away from her post eating dinner down the street where the jail cannot be seen. The women the full proof plan of starting the fire with finger nail polish and 8 men were killed. These women out-smarted the whole Mitchell County good ole boys since 2002 and this is 229 and these women even got $70,000.00 each as a reward for this clever idea and the justice will never be served in my opinion.
