Travel Interstate 55 north to Osceola, exit #48 and go right at the stop sign to Hwy 61. Turn right and continue to 198, go left, cross tracks, thru S curve. Pass the road next to the OLD HOUSE,(Sign ROAD CLOSED) and take the very next left to the guard shack.
Anything over 50 miles away as your residence will pay Per Diem (approx $70.00)
Scheduld to end 2010 and 2nd phase starts up just short miles away tha shoud take the finallization to approx 2015.

The last coal power plant I worked was in Cope, S.C. and I cannot figure out how to even get an interview at Plum Point. I have sent resume's with no reply. How does one get their attention at Plum Point?

Thanks

I know of two people that have an interview there. Not with the construction firms but with the people that will be running the plant. Check back on this page in a couple of days and i will try to post the web site to apply. I'll ask my buddies that have the interview for the web site.

I went to yahoo hotjobs and put my resume in for the open positions at the plum point power plant. I was called the very next day to set up the phone interview with Dynegy. That was on the 22nd of December 2008. Was invited to the plant for a live interview on the 5th of January 2009. Received the job offer on 16th January 2009. They were hiring 3 crews of 24 personnel to work on a rotational shift. They are bringing everyone in in February, and start training in March. The plant will not be up for operation until August 2010. If you were looking for employment you may have missed the window of opportunity on this one. They told me that all positions are now filled. All I can tell you is that for this area the pay will be substantially higher than any other place around here.

I just checked hotjobs and they still have some O & M positions available. Maybe some of the people they offered to did not accept, I don't know. There are jobs posted anyway. Maybe you can score.
