I can remember calling Hootie to talk tohim about the way the flood money was being misused, not in this last flood but when Lonnie wouldn't sign those checks. Boy, has he changed his tune he wouldn't even listen to what I had to say. So now we are supposed to think that he's OK. I learned the hard way back then. I have to say at leasst Truman has sent us what he promises. But in the commmissioners race, I have to say Hubbard is the less of the two evils. Our laws were put here to be followed by everyone not who he sees fit and when he sees fit. There should be one punishment for each crime good against any and all who bread the law. He couldn't honestly do one job why give him the chance to screw up another. That clinic was open all this time and he didn't do anything until he had no choice. Dave Baisden, I have no plausible idea how he has gotten in and stayed in that courthouse this long. It's sad to say I trust him more than I do Lonnie.
Unbelievable

You are right. And the last flood, they "county comissioners" gave the contract to DADOO trucking, which didn't even have the equipment. I heard one of their "clan" is a silent partner with DADOO....sounds like a kick-back to me. Also, most of the people couldn't get them to work on the bad creek erosion that they were suppose to fix. WHERE DID THE MONEY GO HOOTIE?

It is pretty clear that you do not know Hootie or what you are talking about. Hooite is fair, caring, very smart and has worked hours on end to help the people in Mingo County. Does Hootie live in Mingo Co. Yes...does Turman No. Has Hootie ever sued his own county. No. Has Turman sued Mingo County. Yes. Was Hootie working door to door during the flood. Yes. Did anyone see Turmna. NO. Did Hootie help with food and heat to people in the county during the snow storm. Yes. Did Turman ever come to town during that time. NO. Has Hootie ever played games with checks to help our county. NO. Has Turman played those games every election. Yes. Turman takes shots at anyone and any way for his personal gain. He could care less about anyone in Southern WV...except his fake wife when he sent her to town to get the mail. Then all his stuff is in Charleston any way...she doesn't come here any more either. The Chafin's are a joke. Hootie gives respect and earns respect. Go Hootie.
Still, you didn't answer the question. What does he have a stand on? Evidently, you are about as smart as he is. He can't give an answer to this either!!!!!

Unbelievable, it's like this you can get some of the people to listen, sometimes, but sometimes you can't get them to listen at all. If Hootie and Dave and Lonnie get back in we'll be in the same situation next election only worse. The only reason Lonnie backed off from Hootie is because he knew about the setup with Cline and he knew he could use it to his advantage right here at election time. I can remember when those two were thick as thieves.

Have you been asleep there is a thread already on here about that. And it wasn't just them Lonnie OK'd it then turned around and yelled foul. He had no trouble saying no to sign those checks during the floods to 263 Towing and costing the county tens of thousands of dollars. He is even more guilty if there is any guilt to this.

Gazette:

Clayton Cline and his wife Eleanor Cline gave Smith contributions of $1,000 each on April 14, 2006, for his campaign against Sen. Truman Chafin, D-Mingo.

The Clines gave Smith another $2,000 on Dec. 19, 2007, according to county records, for his campaign for Mingo County Commission.

and

"Commissioner [Greg 'Hootie'] Smith stated that Cline had been a very good taxpayer and this is the first time he has appeared before the Board of Equalization in all his years of being in the coal industry and feels that since the miner was bought and sold soon after ... having never been used.

"Commissioner Smith made a motion to exonerate the entire tax ticket for Triple C Equipment due to the equipment being stored only, was not used and has now been sold," the minutes state.

Every person in the county that owned anything that would be worth the effort and only owned a very short length of time need to get their proof of ownership and selling papers and have him do the same for them. That way he won't be showing a personal preference to Cline. Get to looking citizens.

With the FBI, BCI and all the other alphabet agencies in town lately these morons must be dumber than we thought and for Hootie to try to justify it in the Gazette today rather than saying we made a mistake he's just lost the election and he may have lost a lot more. This is really really stupid.

I can't stand Hootie, 150% against him in this election. The deal with the ticket if we are being reimbursed it just made Lonnie look like an even bigger selfish ass. He was just trying to make John Mark look bad, why doesn't John Mark have him investigated for being so prejudice in his treatment of office and it's punishments. But as far as the tax mess he needs to be put in the stupid hall of fame for that one.
