Matewan Depot restaurant reopens under new owners, name

An old favorite is returning to Matewan. The Matewan Depot restaurant, which closed earlier in the summer after several years in business in downtown Matewan, reopened this morning under new owners and a new name.

Just wanted to say the food is awesome, home cooked meals. If your tired of the grease of the other resturants in the area try this place they have home cooked meals. Yum, Yum

explain what you call home cooked meals. warming up a can of corn and beans and spud flakes isnt home cookin. Is anything homemade how do you cook without grease or butter and get flavor a healt food restarant. I bet the owners are very fit.

They do have home cooked meals there not out of a can. They are really doing good, the new owners are very nice its a very friendly place to eat. The cook is clean and knows what she is doing.... The Food is awesome there everyone should try it out...

If you readers out there are smart, you will notice that THE PIKEVILLE POSTER is not Don McCoy. It is the GARLANDS WORDING. They are posting answers and answering them therselves. how is pat going to lose a renter? first pat is suppose to feed his renters, at least thats what they brag about. also i saw pat in the resturant waring his mr.cook uniform today, so i guess pats in there telling people not to eat there either. no it wasnt don mccoy i know the difference.
