Hopefully, the guilty ones will be apprehended , tried, prosecuted, and will receive meaningful punishment for this
atrocity. As i unerstand it, if they are seventeen they will be in the adult system and hopeefully will receive an eye opening sentence. If minors the judge should put them"under the jail" before they do something as serious to their brethren.

As best as I know cruelty to animals is a felony and holds a mandatory sentence.

You people really are disapointing. You and others have put animals on the same level as humans. Yes, your kind got a sympathy law passed but your strange notions that animals are more than just property is really disturbing. You would actually put someone in jail! I hope I do not live in your town much less your neighborhood.

You are more than disapointing, and I for one care for my dogs more than I do for ANY person! Say what you want about me I don't care. You don't think someone should go to jail for killing someones dogs, then you have a real problem! You are the one that is disturbing and have no compassion, because my dogs are more than property and there are many people who agree with me, those who don't I don't care. You are the kind of person that raise these kind of people that kill and harm another living creature!!

I bet you're the one who poisoned the dogs.

I highly doubt these ill mannered, unruly, mentally unstable teenagers ate the two dogs that they killed. There is a HUGE difference in killing non-domesticated animals for food and killing someone's pets simply for shits and giggles! If you can't see this then you're on the RIGHT side of town and with any luck you'll STAY there! We don't need idiots like yourself running around our neighborhoods! Killing animals is a clear sign of much larger psychological issues.

"Killing animals is a clear sign of much larger psychological issues."

That is a progressive liberal propoganda spill. Those who put animals equal or above humans have the psychological issues. However, they want everyone to think they are normal. So disappointing! Too tragic!!

If those teenagers did kill those animals as alleged, they have destroyed someone's property. Therefore the legal guardians of those teenagers should recompense the owners of the animals. The point is treating the animals as property and not humans. By the way, it is a free country and I tread where I like.

A family member did go to jail for this and yes I would lock someone up for this. It is a doorway for some people to more violent crimes. There are different situations in every cases. In this case someone entered her property and killed her animals and apparently thought it was funny, This is not right. Now if you run over my animal or my animal comes in your yard and gets into something and dies, I would think that was my own fault for not obeying the laws concerning animals. You have to take a look at the situation, Before you judge.

"Wrongsideoftown" your name should be "Manwithoutabrainorheart ". I love my pets more than words could ever say. They are the only living things (people included) that totally, absolutely, love you unconditionally. I don't have human children but I do have canine and feline children. They are my babies. They are always there for you when you need a friend. They lick away your tears when you're sad and they play with you when you're happy. I'm sorry that you have never known the true love of a pet because they are one of the most precious things that God put on this earth. I don't put my pets on the same level as humans, I put them on a level much higher.

I hope somehow, someway God will forgive you for your comments and change your heart to truly feel what Wig Geer is feeling right now. I hope I never have to go through what Wig is going through. I do feel for Wig and understand the pain and anger he must be feeling.

I also guess you think Michael Vick was mistreated by having to serve prison time for the way he mistreated all of his dogs. How cruel and stupid is it to make dogs fight and bet money on which one dies first? I think his time in prison wasn't nearly long enough and I also think he shouldn't have ever been allowed to play professional football, again. He was supposed to be a role model to young people, and look at what he did. The fact that the NFL let him come back just shows kids that no matter what mean, horrible things they do, it's okay. It's not okay and you're not okay either. You need serious psychological help and I hope you get it.

Wig Geer, you are in my thoughts and prayers and I do hope whoever did this to your poor dogs will PAY for it, if not in this life, then definitely in the after life. I am so sorry for your loss and so sorry you will be leaving this town because of these horrible people's actions. You will be missed in Colquitt, GA!!!

"they are one of the most precious things that God put on this earth"

This proves my point exactly! I guess Jesus's sacrifice was to create a "dog heaven" for the souls of dogs! You truly are one with self esteem problems.

"I hope somehow, someway God will forgive you for your comments and change your heart to truly feel what Wig Geer is feeling right now."

Have you ever wished that for a dog who bit or killed a child? Every time you whackos pass a sympathy law I lose some of my constitutional freedoms. This is a result of allowing emotions to maked decisions.

Not all dogs are like that tho. Maybe you are just mad because you never had a pet in life. Our dogs are like family and if someone ever tried to harm them, I would hunt them down and make them pay.

Yes I am sure your dogs look a lot like you! You are comparing animals to humans. Pitiful!

"and if someone ever tried to harm them, I would hunt them down and make them pay."

Yes and if someone busted my windshield on my car, I would make them pay for repairing it.

now that you have been the only person/poster on here condoning this then I will call you a "sorry piece of shit" and then you can post this line for line and try and cypher it out.
I have killed animals some because they were a danger and yes these even bothered me, some for food and some because some piece of shit like yourself think of them as a burden instead of a companion and throw them out on the nearest dirt road and they become a threat to the nearest house, because you do not have the decency to take care of your responsibilities.
so go ahead and you take this apart piece by piece and explain it you piece of SHIT!!!!!!!!!!
and if you want to know who I am then I will be glad to let you know. you piece of shit!!!!
looking for you

So who was this PIECE OF SHIT that was arrested for this heinous CRIME? I mean, they're going around killing innocent animals, I don't think they're above being named on this site! After all, naming them on here is no where near as bad as what they did to these poor animals. So who was it? We as citizens of this community have the right to know.

My animals know more about attitude than anyone else, they can sense when I am angry, happy and sad and will react to them.
If you happen to be one of the people that put your dogs on boob tube, sporting them as good dogs attacking a rubber tire and the such or walking them around town showing off the next prespect. I want you to know that am just as sure that I will protect my canine friends as well as I would any family member and while you are watching your "property" is trying to attack my friend and family member he will not see the ground when its body hits it and if you make a move you will not see the "property" hit either. I think that is the nature of the game isn't it? everyone has a gun and no one has a reason to use it because they are only looking at a property and not a friend and a companion.
We need more oversight, more searching and more investigating into this and into the people that we see have these type of animals because it will lead to other corrupt and foul beings that are in our community.
