If he engaged in anything sexual with another man he obviously was mentally unstable to begin with. Maybe his friends should have seen that as a warning sign and got him some help.

Those people may now be complicit in the death of that young man.

32 years a piece should do it.

Why should they be held responsible for his death? He CHOSE to commit suicide, just like he CHOSE to defy nature. Who knows...maybe he "couldn't help" but to jump off of the bridge- maybe he was "born that way"...

Omg- I'm a conservative, but I can't understand how you folks could be so callous. This was a young person who was treated very badly by someone who was supposed to be his friend, and who humiliated him so badly that he felt he could never face another day. If it had been a young girl who was filmed by some pervert with the same result you would be all over him. Youth thinks the way you feel today is the way you will feel forever, you know? The roommate should be charged with something- this was a very terrible thing he did that had the worst consequences possible. My condolences to his grieving family.

Let's see, maybe someone should post the video of you with the horse, would you jump then?

If he streamed the guy having sex with a woman would it be a hate crime or American Pie Part 10? Sorry gays if you want equal rights -- guess what ?-- It means no special treatment.

Yup, that chick had some buck teeth, but she was fine as hell, and I could care less if a video of me nailing her got leaked onto the net...nor would I expect the people that did it to be charged with a hate crime.

In all seriousness, I get what you're implying. If I, or anyone for that matter, had sex with a horse, someone caught it on video and posted it on the Internet, and whoever it was killed themself, would you be crying for "justice" in their name?

Probably not. You drew an interesting comparison there, because two dudes having sex with each other and a dude having sex with a horse have more than a few things in common: they're disgusting, in violation of the laws of nature and many religious teachings, can cause disease...I could go on, but I'm sure that you get my point.

If the couple that was filmed were a man and woman, the only charges filed would be the ones that already have been, as it should be in any case. No hate crime, no charges involving the suicide. Gays say that they want equality- Congratulations! You've got it. Move on.

This was just wrong to do regardless of the fact that this young man was gay. No one should have their privacy invaded like that. And remember, there is more than just one victim here, don't forget the other guy in the video(his privacy was invaded as well). I think this should be addressed as an invasion of privacy issue rather than a gay issue like most people and the media are wanting to make it out to be, it could have happened to anyone straight or gay. Was it a hate crime? That may be tough to prove. Were there any previous incidents to suggest this was hate motivated? Sounds more like a guy goofing on his roommate thinking he is doing something funny. The only way things are ever going to move foward and things made better in our society is when we stop looking at each others as labels and start looking at each other as human beings.Still sad loss of life.

So horribly tragic. I'm not even that old, yet in my lifetime have seen a clear change in the general lack of regard people have for their fellow human beings. We live in a narcissistic world where many only think of themselves and have zero consideration for how their actions might affect others. The roommate and his friend likely thought it was all just a funny joke, but I hope while they are doing some jail time they realize that any "joke" at the expense of another person is harmful and pointless.

Life sucks, get a helmet. We can't just all run around killing ourselves everytime we get upset...or can we? Typical liberal answer coming from a conservative, blame everyone else for your actions. Natural selection, I say.

I am another conservative, and your post is the kind of nasty, heartless crap that gives conservatives a bad name that most of us don't deserve. Extremism is what sucks, you moron. It's not "liberal" to think that cruelty is wrong- or it shouldn't be. Ginger obviously had kids, and you obviously don't- or shouldn't.

I'm not a conservative, so why would my comment give you a bad name? I'm just surprised to hear that kind or irresponsible blame placing out of a conservative. I have never had sympathy for anyone who takes their own life. I don't care what led up to THEIR decision, we all experience trials and tribulations in our lives, and suicide is the easy, weak way out of facing your problems.

By the way, I do have kids. And if they ever decide that suicide is the best answer for their problems, I have failed as a parent.

OMG. I'm conservative, but I can't understand how folks could be so stupid and not realize that homosexuality is a mental illness. Saying he's born gay is about as stupid as saying he was born suicidal.
