For those who may or may not know of me, or my project, my name is Andrew Gabriel, life-long Spotswood resident, and I have recently published a book called "A Diary of Hope: The True Story of an American Prisoner of War".
The book is based on the diary that my grandfather (and former Spotswood resident) Frank Carollo, kept while a POW in Stalag 17, during World War II. It is an inspriational, heart-warming story of hope, love, & survival.
"A Diary of Hope" can be purchased at the publisher's website, www.lulu.com
, as well as both Amazon.com
. Hesitant to shop online? You can now go into ANY Barnes & Noble bookstore, and purchase the book over the counter!
As of now, the book has been featured in an article in the Home News Tribune (Feb. 20th '09) and on the radio, on 90.3, The Core FM (3/31 '09, should be avaiable online at www.thecore.fm
"A Diary of Hope" has also been given a unique publicity opportunity...and could use all of your support!!!
A proposal for a 'manifesto' has been posted on the website www.changethis.com
. This website has become a haven for the 'blogging' community (which, I'm told, is key now-a-days for publishing publicity)...BUT, in order for the manifesto to be viewed and discussed by these bloggers (and, in turn, receive this publicity) the proposal needs to go through a voting process.
So, I WOULD APPRECIATE YOUR VOTES!!! Please go to www.changethis.com
, and vote for "The Need to Remember Our Aging Veterans" proposal under 'manfest proposals'!
If you have any questions, please e-mail me at firstname.lastname@example.org. I appreciate all questions or comments! You can also visit http://www.lulu.com/content/4853279
