This man had to have been so tortured in his mind to do something like this..people judge to easily without all the facts..I would never condon an act so horrible, and this should never have happened, but I think if we are going to judge, then we should at least wait and get all the facts before doing so.

You're a very compassionate person, Lucille to suggest we should wait for all facts before judging. However, respectfully, I disagree with you, as all the newspaper articles stated all the facts: There were problems in the marriage; the ex-wife filed a number of restraining orders, only for her request to be dismissed, where she had no other option but to comply with the law in allowing the ex-hub to have shared custody; the ex-husband's emotions were obviously building up since losing his job. etc. He was a crazed man. He murdered his ex-wife, "kidnapped" the kids, kills himself while having his children with him, putting them in danger, and now their children have no parents. I can only pray that these little girls can have a normal & happy life.

Skizots, if you believe that the newpapers tell all of the facts then you are fooling yourself!
Fathers who are in family court often have their child stolen from them under the guise of "custody proceedings" They are often kicked out of their childrens lives by a malious mom aided by family court. This man did not "kidnap" his children as the newpapers suggested. He was trying to protect his children and himself from a Dricoian Family Court system that treats fathers like crap...

The botton line here is that GOVERNMENT should not get involved in domestic relations. A lot of people have been killed needlessly do to GOVERNMENT meddling! This guy Trapp is not the first to do this and he will not be the last!

Oh come on now, "Skoal123"!!! Do you really expect people to feel sorry for this so called "father", when he stabbed his ex-wife/the mother of his 2 very young children - to death, "abducts" them after committing murder, and then commits suicide while having his own very young children under his so called care???!!! That's endangering the welfare of the children to say the least!!! Does that sound like this man was "trying to protect his children"???Sounds like you were either a friend or family member of this unstable man, or perhaps a father who's been in a custody battle yourself. And you say that I'm fooling myself???!!! Good luck to you.

You are completely wrong. I am a mother who has been in the Middlesex county court. They do not kick fathers out of their kids lives and take the mothers side. What I have found in family court is that kids are treated as 'property'....evenly split 50/50 like a house. My ex-husband is mentally abusive and on drugs and still has rights and sees his child. The system seems to protect the rights of the parents then to the childs best interests.
This is why people die...from a system that doesn't work. This woman should have been given a restraining order. I'd like to know who the judge was.

Thank you, "dee" for your post. While there are exceptions, most custody battles are of the mothers in having to deal with either dead-beat or abusive fathers of the children, where the courts seem to try their best to be politically correct in giving the fathers some kind of "fair share". You hit the nail on the head - children ARE NOT PROPERTY! I hope and pray things will work out for you and your children. Peace to you this Christmas.

she didnt get the`restraining order twice because the judge seen no reason for it.
woman use restrining orders to get what they want like getting guy kicked out of house just so she can be free of him during divorce.
hooray for judge what other threats and nasty things did she do and say to make him snap?
and if she feared him so y did she go to house alone?
no witnesses to her actions

"rebel": Do you know any of the people involved, are you a legal professional, or what? It's irrelevant as to why she went to the house alone - as he still committed MURDER - AND WHILE THEIR CHILDREN WERE THERE!!! I can only guess the reason she went there is because of shared custody. What I do know is that the PTA of the elementary school to which the children go to have set up a website for anyone who wishes to make a donation, to help the grandmother (the mother of the MURDERED daughter) raise her grandchildren. For you to make such cold comments about a woman who was so viciously murdered, then there's something wrong with you!

Thank you, "rebel" for your response (I've been waiting for it!). These forums are for people to post their opinions on topics, which is what I have been doing. If there's anyone who is judging, it was your cold comment on judging a woman who was MURDERED by her ex-husband, while their children were present somewhere in the house during the MURDER! Commenting "horray for judge" for her not receiving a restraining order is beyond cold and inhumane on your part. Had she received the restraining order, then perhaps she would still be alive, and maybe so would the ex-husband; and maybe - just maybe he would have had a second chance in life in getting the psychological help he needed. Such a sad, heart wrenching story. Do you have any compassion at all?

The house on 10 Rose lane where he killed his ex-wife has been on sale for the last 2 years,I found out that somebody bought the house not long ago. Wondering if the new owner knows that women have been murder there?

I hope and pray that the new owner will have a fresh new start. (Perhaps a spiritual house cleansing and blessing would help).

Ugh!!! Drama......I sure hate drama and yes women do play the system taking advantage of restraining orders for no reason at all as well. In my situation, I actually had a trash girl from East Brunswick who "borrowed" money just to steal it (over $400), promise to pay it back, allowed me (normal stable guy) to babysit her son in her home while she worked, and then turned around a week later to just obtain a restraining order in court as she lied completely in order to avoid her debt. The sad part was that we were not even together as I did not want to be with that trash and I thought we were just friends as I thought I was helping a single mother with her bills around Christmas time. It all depends on each and every situation on what is going on but in my case, she was garbage as she admitted she knew how to "play the system"

Sorry you had to go through that, Ronnie. There are some low-life shady women who would do that. Sadly, the story that is being posted is a much different case than yours. I sincerely wish you good luck in choosing better female friends.
