I am so disgusted with all this those kids deserve to be tried as adults the one kid who is supposedly the football jock from obhs has been in loads of trouble but the school and the dad who by the way is a football coasch always swept it under the rug and kept him out of trouble and on the team thats what happens when the school OBHS ignores rules for an athlete also unfortunately the principals and staff including the school cop always close there eyes when it comes to these tall brolic athletes and black kids i must say I guess there afraid of them too shame on you all

The two of you are some ignorant people. I can't believe you would ever believe the nonsense that you just said. First off just because he was an athlete doesn't mean a thing. Secondly what the hell does him being black have to do with it at all for you to lump all black kids at OBHS together is foolish. So the next time you speak try not sounding so stupid.......But also before you even get at me, I am not saying what they did is I right. I myself feel very strongly that should be tried as adult for they have done but I can't to stand to shit and read this ignorant comment

the school and principal handle matters consistently and fairly with regards to student conduct and discipline. What kind of trouble those boys get into outside of school is a matter for the parents to handle. The fact is that when these kids are outside of the school they are responsible for their own actions. Under the influence of God knows what, they attacked and killed an innocent man and they deserve punishment for their crime...as adults!

The problem is simple, with both parents working the children are raising themselves!

It is a damn shame when a man is attack in front of his children no matter what race he or the attacker is. The problem is the youth today don't respect anything or anyone. I believe they should be tried as Adults and to the man's family who lost his life to these savages, I apologize for the senseless and murdering spirit that so many of today's youth have. We need to enforce the laws of drinking while under age and smoking maybe this will help in their decision making.

These wannabe gangsters are going to meet lots of real gangsters in prison. That is where the pretending ends. They are going to get porked in the butt every single day. I hope Bubba knocks out their teeth so that they can blow him better. Way to blow your future that seemed so bright. Lock these monkeys up and let them rot. They should be lynched!

I heard that one of the three was on the football team; but as far fetched as some posters may feel "karmaIII" is, I agree that OBHS Administration doesn't do enough with problem students (not to mention, problems with various faculty. But that's another topic for another time). Depending on who "Mommy & Daddy" are, and what other influences one has, a student's behavior does get swept under the rug from time to time. My prayers are with the victim's family - NOT for the MURDERERS OR THEIR FAMILY!!!

These people aren't socipaths at all. Sociopaths are people like that man who murdered all of the students at VA Tech. These kids are just your garden variety criminal thugs. The only reason why they feel remorse is because they were caught and are going to jail. Let's hope they'll make someone on the inside a nice wife when they get there.

This is what happens when both parents have to work and children are left at home to raise themselves.
Itís a pure matter of lack of supervision and involvement by parents who donít have the time to provide oversight and continual parental guidance due to employment.
Americaís children are raising themselves due to part-time parenting!

"Resident", you bring up a very good point; but I do happen to know many families where parents both work, and many divorced, single parents; and their kids don't go out beating someone to death for the heck of it. I'm convinced that there are hidden behavioral problems with these thugs that most likely got either overlooked or ignored by their parents. If any of these 3 kids have problems where the parents were at their wits end trying to do something about it, well, they didn't do enough. They are 17, I'm guessing not from that neighborhood, so they most likely drove, the crime was committed past their curfew, and it wasn't even provoked. Shame on the parents of those kids!!!
