it's not an addition tax, it's a renewal - you're already paying it.

plus, the schools should not lay off anyone. For the first time, they've received a terrific rating from the state. Piqua City Schools is doing something right and as a community, we should reward PCS for this accomplishment. Pass the levy.

VOTE YES!

"NO MORE TAXES" You must not have been down to the board office lately. You have to ring a doorbell at the counter to get someone to help you. The school laid off 35 people last year, and if this does not pass, it will lay off another 25 to 30. This is a renewal levy. It does not increase the amount of taxes the school receives. Pass the LEVY. Thanks.

Why should the adminstrators take a pay cut? If it's a quality team that's doing it's job...they should be well-paid, otherwise they'll go somewhere else and we'll get mediocre people for lower costs. If they're not the best people, then we should get rid of them.

The school tax is a renewal. Which means the tax is not going up, it is staying the same. Piqua is a sorry ass town that doesn't think kids need good educations. The current school tax is way below other schools in the area, but people don't even want to renew.

Why don't the schools just re assess the property values? A hundred and twenty thousand dollar house pays more taxes then an eighty thousand dollar house. Then the super can get a fat raise and not apper to rip off the tax payer? I went to public schools and I can figure that out. Besides, how could a school that takes property tax and income tax really need more money? How long is the emergancy going to last?
