Tweak tax distribution, assessment process

It's our belief that taxpayers of Indiana are tired of hearing the word "tax." Any indication that an increase in taxes is being considered will be met with vigorous remonstrance.

Your ideas concerning taxes are certainly worth consideration. And they sound as if they could be implemented without too much difficulty. Hopefully the "powers that be" read your comments and consider them instead of the same old tired decision--raise property/income taxes!

This sounds horrendously cmoplicated.

A $50 fee for a cop to show up to testify in a trial is flatout unconstitutional.

Maybe we could reduce spending someplace, like EVERY place.

Isn't "tweaking" the tax code what got us into this mess? how about just going to the fairtax and forget about all of this "tweaking" crap!

Where was the idea of spending reductions?

Adding "User Fees" don't guarantee a reduction in Property Taxes. They only add additional revenues to the system.

The 4.1 percent varies a little from year to year but, it is guaranteed revenue growth no matter what the economy is doing.

"Therefore, they can control their cost". Why are you proposing that citizens control their costs when you can't control yours?

This is nothing more than two Mayors trying to cover their backsides. There is nothing in this proposal that is worthy of being called reform.
If this is the best two Mayors can come up with, just think what can happen when they all get together. Let's see, more "User Fees" with no law forcing spending reductions or tax reduction.

Come on guys, even a dope like me can see that these ideas are supposed to generate more revenue.
