I have alot to say on this subject. First of all, the school system is trying to force to much and to fast on the children. They go thru 5 chapters a week, outline each one, has to be 12 pages long. Come on~~~~ Most of the work in the grade school is sent home for the parents to do the teaching. I agree students need a high school diploma. But the school system is going about it the wrong way. It doesn't do any good to talk to the teachers. principal, BOE. They make sure they have the last word. IT's about the more kids come to school. The more money they ( principals) make. Based on size of school and students going there.

Judge omar i think has helped..and truancy usually isnt bc of "homework"

Besides our country has faklen a lot in academics..

Kids here need to suck it up and the parents need to stop whining about kids ha in too much schoolwork..nowhere near what kids in asian and many european countires do..

Like it or not we r n a global econony and our kids need to grow up and be able to compete for jobs..or they can go ahead and get their education on how to work the welfare system

The problem isnt homework..its kids and parents that baby them leading to the complete pussification of america
