Jail death thought to be a suicide

The Mendocino County District Attorney's Office is investigating the death of a man Friday at the Mendocino County Jail that appears to have been a suicide.

You must be one of the thugs that work there. You couldn't make it anywhere else in life, and in the departments bottom of the barrel hiring, they got you. I did a citizen ride along a few years ago and the officer I was with arrested a guy for intoxication. When we got to the jail, the jailer got him out of the car and placed him against the wall. The drunk guy was told to take his shoes off and when he reached down to undo his laces another jailer kicked his ass for not keeping his hands on the wall. The guy ended up laying on the cement floor with three cops on top of him and he wasn't even fighting back. They kept saying that he was resisting but he was just covering his face because they were hiting him. He was begging for mercy! I sure didn't like seeing that. I can't say what else goes on there but that was enough to know that they are not good people. That made me decide I didn't want to be an officer. I went to work for PG&E and don't regret it at all.

Every time I have been to jail for being drunk they made me wear handcuffs and they took my shoes off for me. So stop being a drama queen and get a life.
