Dead Horses in Meigs County

I saw the news and there is someone in Meigs County who is starving their horses and letting them die.
The local sheriff is not going to do anything about this. Although it is his job to follow up I doubt that will happen.
Who is it???Does anyone know who this person is??
Address anything.
There are other rescue places that can help these poor horses, they just need to know who, where to
go..........

I've had dealings with the sherriff's dept about trying to get them to do something about the starving horses in Meigs County. It can be very difficult.....like pullin teeth!

This matter is being investigated. An ag. dept investiagaor has made contact with the horses along with a deputy from the
Sheriff's Dept and feels that the horses are thin but not on death's doorstep. He has contacted the owners and advised them on what needs to be done. He will be following up on this matter. The dept follows up on all animal abuse cases even though the public may not see instant results.

Horses located one mile South of Decatur on Hwy 58 with NO shelter from the sun or weather. Statements made is that the horses belong to a Meigs County veterinarian.

OK- WELL for one thing horses are range animals they are built to be out in the weather and sun, but I do agree with some of the issues with agricultural animals around our area....and not just horses....with the lack of groceries.....so shelter is not the issue with horses....it's feed and health of the feet and coat and mineral intake along with other things!!!!! And this is from a person that has run a range horse facility since childhood!!!! So if you don't know what your alking about with equine please stop, cause all your doing is making a fool out of your self....remember when you point ne finger, there are three more pointed back at you!!!!
