What a shame! I wasn't aware you can be denied medical attention. Who was the facility? I heard holzers is a privately owned facility so are they allowed to have their own guidelines or something? Or was the person at the desk just being an ass and turned her away? Why hasn't this been investigated?

You cannot be denied emergency care at an emergency room even if you have unpaid bills. Same if you don't have insurance. Same if you aren't a legal citizen of this country.
Urgent care and personal offices are a different story.
So Clinton is wrong. No one has been denied emergency care in this country.
The local clinic would have had to have been Holzer clinic for that time period. Had she gone to O'bleness or Holzer hospital emergency room it wouldn't have happened.
Meigs had a good hospital, but no one wanted to pay the taxes to support it and so the levy failed and the hospital closed. Then Holzer took I've the building with a lease that lasts 99 years if I remember correctly preventing veterans from re-opening and thus having a monopoly on care with their clinic.
