It's not a good idea. Not for the public to be openly in & out of our childrens school. There's enough traffic in that parking lot & office with just school traffic now they're bringing more, that's unnecessary. I can think of a lot more cons than pros. I don't think the board thought this through, but that doesn't surprise me, what do they think through? We have dr hunter right down the road & Holzer clinic 7 miles away. This is just not needed for the public. It's all about money.

It's not a work out center, it's a health clinic! for sickness, shots & well checks, etc. It's not needed & is just going to cause more conjestion in the school parking lot & office when the focus should be on the kids that are trying to learn not every piece of welfare trash coming in there looking for a prescription! It shouldn't be a schools responsiblity to house a public health center! It's to educate our future! We have plenty of public health clinics & a new low income one being built this year so why is southern intersted in provide one? I just don't get it!

you guys are nuts! Dont worry im sure it will end up fine and hopefully help some underpriveledged people at some point. If its problem, like it may be, then im sure they will reconsider. Usually there is no need for people to get too bent out of shape. Everything will workout, people from Racine arnt always dumb and they will figure it out. As for the parking lot the total design is sub par and every time you pull in the parking lot you feel like a Deer walking across a 4 lane highway! Cars fly around evrywhere as well a young kids. Kinda scary! A serious traffic study needs t be implemented to create a better taffic layout or collisions will increase with the increased volume. I do agree with you guys in this matter just stiring!

I don't like this one bit! I wasent really aware this was what it was... So u r telling me that strangers are entering my daughters school to get meds.? If this is the case, I will take my daughter out of that school! I will not set back and wait for my child to be kidnapped or something! Please tell me if this is correct? Because if my thinking us correct, then I think all parents should remove their children.... It's a school for children to be safe and learn, not to have strangers coming and going all day...

You're exactly correct "Parent". I'm glad I'm not alone with my concerns. I would like to know why parents weren't consulted first & would like to find more people opposed to this . But like you said, not a lot of ppl know about it & not sure of what it truely is

This is a bad idea. with society the way it is you have to think of our children going in there an seeing strangers, people complaining of there illness. Just think what our kids will be going threw coming home not talking about there homework or the day they had with there friends. But the opposite watching all these people going in there drug up complaining how bad they have it. I would of thought Kent Wolfe was smarter than that. Just concern parent ty

Well I know this maybe after school hours, but my child among many participate in after school activities. And I have a little one that will be starting kindergarten next year, and for the kids to be missing enough school for being sick and them saying they will fail, why an the he'll r they bringing all the sick strangers in my Childs school??? Nope! My child will be removed from that school if this clinic opens! And both my kids will go to MEIGS!!! I can't believe this! What r they thinking? I would advise ALL parents to remove their children! Before something bad happens to them weather they get sick from these people, or kidnapped!

No, this isn't an after school hours clinic. It's ONLY open DURING school hours! And from what I understand it's already open so try obviously not taking parents concerns into consideration at all. And you're right, parents need to raise hell & pull their kids. I've already have one there but ive decided that if it's still open next school year by no means am I subjecting my PRESCHOOLER to that mess!! I will take him somewhere else!

Yeah that's great bring all them people in during school hours! What are they thinking? My daughter said she went to the school nurse the other day and was made to sit and wait in a waiting room! Are u kidding me?!! The is by far the most rediculas thing I've ever heard of!! What are they going to do when a bunch of angry parents show up? Something really needs to be done about this. I don't think that alot of parents really know what is going on here, and my daughter will not be at southern anymore if this continues. And I really think there needs to be something done to remove this clinic! And the people who thought of it!!

This is for parents and children . This is not during school hours. It's also open for the public. There are allot of people who are not on welfare and who can't afford insurance . It's something good for the community .

It's a clinic. Before and after school. Your kids will be ok.

For those of you complaining about will your kids be safe, you are the ones who drop your kids off at a ball game and let them run all over the school like a bunch of wild animals. How safe is that? But go ahead take your kid out of the school send them to Meigs where they will be subject to worse things than a health clinic. Heck, they have trouble keeping there bus drivers from threading striking! Take them to Meigs where the science teacher let's the students ingest dry ice. Or better yet send them to Meigs where the kids drop out and burn down churches. The point is no matter where you go there is always going to be some sort of drama. A health clinic isn't that bad.

I wish people weren't so ignorant & knew facts before rung their mouth! It is for the PUBLIC & ONLY open DURING school
hours! I've read the info on it that was sent home w/ my child. We hve health clinics that are good for the community...located on Mulberry Ave.(Holzer) and Family HealthCare in middleport. It's not southern locals responsibility to provide health care, their resposonbility is to provide a safe school & learning environment!

For your information, I am a graduate of Meigs & didn't drop out or flunk out due to drugs nor was I corrupt into burning down churches. I am definitely not one of those parents you see dropping their kids off at a ball game & leaving them to run! I will be the first to tell you, I can't stand it when parents do that! So, please again, get your facts straight, the clinic is only open during school, and to everyone!

And youre an ass. Obviously everyone on here has very little common sense & the mentality of a druggie, therefore I'm wasting my time & effort in explaining anything to any of you. This site is a joke and the only thing anyone ever talks about are drugs & sex, grow up & get a life, or better yet, a job! Whether you think so or not There are actually some people in this county that are responsible & care for their children without drugs being involved!
