Why sell the power to CPS? Keep the energy and funds in the county. Wind generators on the hill, solar at the airport, and more. EVERY new residential and commercial construction should be required to have an integrated rain water collection and irrigation system (not really expensive in relation to the cost of a new home), solar water heating, as well as a minimal photo-voltaic contribution to "the grid". I already collect OVER 400 gallons of rainwater every year for watering and I am in the process of constructing a solar water heating array. With insulation, water collection, and reduction in usage, my utilities have already dropped by HALF! supplemental solar water heating should add another 25-30 percent reduction. Anyone else able to cool/heat 1200 sq. ft. home/business at 70-75 degrees and only pay 125 in utilities? Just my 2-cents.
