No person should have to suffer behind someone coming into your home to rob you. The teenagers these day need to learn how to respect other property. Instead of using their energy to rob they should have had a book in front of their face, or been in a church to learn about the Lord Almighty. Most of all having a job. They do not have enough to occupy their mind. No the victim shouldn't be charged. He was protecting his home. Even if he didn't kid the teenager the cops probably will never found them or they wouldn't have the crime as a priorty, therefore they would probably rob another senior citizen. When you have worked a long life and God has allowed you to live who want to deal with a bunch of hoodlums. They need men in military so if the courts want to do something to benefit don't send them to jail that is too easy, sign them up to enter the military to learn respect and discipline.

Jail only mean relaxing and enjoy other prisoners receiving the wrong information in how to live and respect. Jail no longer allow prisoners to earn their keep. Years ago you would see prisoners walking on side of the road picking up trash keeping the highway free of paper a blown rubber tires. Now they sit in jail dressed like they walked out of GQ magazine. Those locked up dress better then men who work every day. Enough is enough.

I'd say plead something like temporary insanity- hey, the guy is 76, he and his wife were just put in danger- for their lives for all they knew- so the guy in the heat of the moment got revenge. Give him probation. Maybe these punks will think twice before they try one of their home invasions. Too bad they all couldn't have been shot as they were breaking in.

...if he is convicted or pleads guilty, the state will disarm him & his family will not be "allowed" to have firearms or weapons within their domicile.

I went to school with one of the gang that robbed the man. His name was Joseph Graves and he and Markus was in a gang called the Grier Heights Jewels. They have been doing robbery, car jackings and they sell reefer and crack rock in Grier Heights. They all carry guns.
